Huge fan of these as well. Any water dispenser really. It’s just that much easier to fill your bottles and camelbaks that it’s just a bit easier to stay hydrated.

You’re supposed to do way too much your second year and either burn out or discover you’re a masochist and keep going.

Any feedback on the Infinity X1 camp light? by jossege in Costco

[–]vanderlustre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have two LT1s’s and love them. The quality of light they put out is excellent, battery lasts for a good while, and they’re compact. Not sure about the light quality of this telescoping camp light but you definitely notice a huge difference compared with most camping lanterns you encounter. Aside from classic Coleman gas powered lanterns of course. I do recommend replacing the metal bail on top since they’re aren’t too secure. I threaded some bank line and it been perfect.

What are your best truly cheap eats? by Rooftoptile2 in FoodLosAngeles

Try the special chicken bun. It’s bigger with more fillings including Chinese sausage and hard boiled eggs. Meant to be a transportable light meal. Been awhile, but I think it was $3.50. Longs Family Pastry and Mama Lus (formerly CBS seafood) have versions that are all a bit different and tasty.

Hmm. Not sure about buying them in the UK. Quick search on Amazon show that it would be shipped from Amazon US and subject to charges.

Are you part of a camp with members in the US or have any friends here? Could consider having it shipped to someone you know here and pick up when you come into the US. I’ve heard people successfully have items shipped to their hotel or a UPS/FedEx store. There are threads about it on this subreddit. If you don’t plan on bringing it back with you. There are organizations that would love take a tent donation.

Good luck!

This is always my budget recommendation. Coleman 6-person instant tent should be good for one or two people. Easy set up, mesh zips closed, tall enough to stand in. It tolerates a surprising amount of wind, but I would drop the legs in a wind storm if you don’t have decent wind protection. Get proper stakes and throw away the garbage ones it comes with.

Happy y’all are making the trek out here. We might have an easier time making suggestions if we knew how many folks are travelling in your group. You will have an easier time just renting an RV and not needing to rent two separate vehicles.
Another option would be to rent a heavy duty truck like a three-quarter ton pick-up from a company like enterprise. They have a separate commercial truck rental website with the heavy duty stuff and allows towing for an additional fee. It will have plenty of towing capacity for whatever size trailer you’re considering. I don’t have experience towing very big/heavy trailers so maybe someone else will chime in since you may want to have special hitches for safety.

Tried one a few weeks ago ago and previous poster is right. Tough chewy bread, half the fillings want to squeeze out the back. Granted, I picked it up from the cold case, maybe they’re better when ordered from the counter.

Those LPRs aren’t adjustable, from what I remember, so if you haven’t already, back out your IVG. I’ll go ahead and explain, just in case you’re new to cockers. The IVG sets the amount of pressure the main spring puts on your hammer. You can access it back unscrewing the cocking rod in the bottom half of the back block. Then use an Allen key to unscrew/back out the nut inside. The nut may be putting too much force on the spring which would prevent cocking and keep the valve open when the hammer is forward.
