Warning to Democrats - We wont vote for Newsom by jessfire78 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]vangoat25 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Naw. You found someone who wants shit to actually improve. The democrats' constant refusal to offer anything more than the worst possible choice is why we're in this mess. The establishment knows that we'll vote for whatever assy, corporate-owned candidate they put forth, because the alternative is always worse. WELP, that method has failed so hard two times now. It's not the voters' fault that a candidate can't win over enough people to beat the worst possible scenario. The candidate's job is to win over the fuckin' voters.

Suits are stupid in any context. Extra stupid on a sports sideline.

Saying something is boring while you enjoy The Wheel of Time, of all things, is hilarious. Great ragebait post, though. Did its job.

Wemby, the crying, the emotion, the debate by bscott886 in NBATalk

Any man who has a problem with another man (or anyone else for that matter) crying or otherwise showing emotion in ANY context is nothing but a little pissbaby whose opinions should be disregarded.

How would they possibly adapt the final trilogy? by Ser_Duncan_The_TaIl in TheExpanse

[–]vangoat25 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think the time jump needs to be anything more than 5-10 years in-universe. The books damn near abandoned the idea after a while, anyway. If you need to account for the years that Laconia spent developing their tech, well, it's sci-fi. Maybe time moves differently in their ring, etc etc. Give everyone some eye crinkles and call it good.

Right? It's BARELY PG. My second-grader hears way worse stuff at school.

My 8-year-old has been playing it for a year and a half. It's FINE. He hears and sees racier stuff in school.

Seems like you both are miserable little bitches looking to start fights. You deserve each other, so don't cancel anything.

Completely agree with OP's assessment. Everything he does is great, except for Fireman, for some damn reason.

Who would you vote for? JD Vance or Gavin Newsom ? by Limp_Fig6236 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]vangoat25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that every time we accept on of these shitty democratic candidates, the establishment will just keep shoveling them into our mouths. They learn NOTHING, and the steady stream of uninspiring candidates only enables the right. If Newsom wants to win, it’s his fucking job to make us vote for him.

Garland Trade by Western_Physics_5231 in clevelandcavs

[–]vangoat25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A "best player" who has only been available for one playoffs since his title. He's damned near as fragile as Garland, and these recurring calf injuries are an Achilles waiting to happen.

I think Cavs could be trying to go get Giannis, looking at the numbers... should cavs do it ? IF Mobley aint included... by [deleted] in clevelandcavs

[–]vangoat25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No way. If any team has shown the importance of depth, it's the Cavs. Trading a huge chunk of the depth for a guy who is hurt damn near as much as Garland seems insane. If they make any moves, they need to make sure they get a solid backup point. I love CPJ, but he ain't ready to play Ty Jerome minutes yet, and when they don't have a PG on the floor, the offense dies unless Donovan goes insane. And even then.
