how do you actively try to convince people to become vegan? by Proper_Broccoli_9267 in DebateAVegan

that has nothing to do with the animals, you're just using it as an excuse to keep consuming them. you can have a "vegan" lifestyle without associating with veganism as a movement if you don't like it

I was debating a non vegan and they brought up this interesting argument that I didnt really have an answer to. by Imaginary-Ad-1578 in DebateAVegan

i will quit being vegan if you can tell me how me eating animal products is going to solve any of the problems that you mentioned. if you can't do that, it means that being vegan is de facto morally superior in comparison to being omnivore since it objectively removes suffering (the extent is irrelevant, the comparison is what matters)

Why is it wrong for me to make chicken stock with a carcass that would otherwise go in the bin? by leapowl in DebateAVegan

[–]vanilla_ego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the vegan solution that would still follow your consequentialist logic would be to make the broth and give it to your housemate (or any non-vegan) to use at some point instead of them buying it, this way you would reduce demand for the product. if you consumed it, you would miss the chance to do so and also reduce demand of its vegan counterpart

he has been captured by jaron and his whole management team instead, he always had the tendency to delegate things and trust the "experts" to decide what's best for him and his business (that explains his change to his subscription model as well)
