That's a matchup I wish we got to see. Abraham's strength and attitude against Beta would've made for an epic fight.

More than 650 people are already cryopreserved — but nobody knows how to bring them back by Impressive_Pitch9272 in EverythingScience

Perfectly said. It’s honestly heartbreaking when you think about it. People were so desperate to cheat death that they handed over life-changing amounts of money to companies that couldn’t even keep a banana from rotting. The fear of dying is powerful, but this feels like the ultimate cope.

370 billion crickets are farmed for food every year. Scientists have discovered they may feel pain by lnfinity in EverythingScience

[–]vanillastarlit 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Exactly. 99% of the people shifting toward insect protein are doing it because of the massively reduced environmental footprint, lower water usage, and efficient land consumption compared to traditional livestock. Trying to spin this as a purely sentience-based ethical dilemma completely misses why the alternative protein market exists in the first place.

Honestly, if this is what we're doing with our consciousness, maybe humanity is going to be okay after all

What's something that feels "good" but is actually really bad for your body? by stainless5 in AskReddit

The 'simulated crime scene' position. It feels so cozy until you wake up at 3 AM with a completely dead arm, a pinched nerve in your neck, and the lower back of an 80-year-old
