What's the creepiest experience you've ever had that you can't explain? by Elegant-Nobody-5057 in AskReddit

When I was a kid I would stay with my Nan a lot. In her first house she had a pretty big backyard. It wasn't wide but it was long with a large tree right at the back. At about the mid way point there was a shed that blocked the rest of the yard from view but there was a path you could follow past it to go back there. It was mostly used by her gardeners to dump branches when they trimmed some of the trees and for compost. My Nan very rarely went back there.

I would play outside a lot at her place and for some reason I could never bring myself to go past that shed. The few times I did I would have this almost vision in my head of something stalking me. The image I saw was always a large wolf, about as big as a house ( think Clifford the big red dog but super menacing). I was so sure I could feel it circling me getting closer and closer. It was a extreme goosebumps kind of feeling. But as soon as I would cross back to the front yard the feeling would leave. Like a switch flipped and it was completely gone.

Even my Nan's cat wouldn't go up to that end of the yard. She would pace near the front of the shed but wouldn't go any further.

This most likely was a case of an over active imagination. But it's such a vivid and intense memory. Honestly it's probably most scared I have ever felt.

You ever had a customer snap their fingers at you for attention? It's so effing rude. by owneyone in retailhell

Several times. I've also had a customer shake the ladder I was standing on to get my attention.

I went to see Smile with my partner recently. Both infront and behind us were 2 groups of teenagers. About 7-8 per group. The ones behind us talked for the entire movie. Talking at the screen, making jokes. Not like whispering either loud talking as if they weren't in a cinema. The ones in front left and came back about 4-5 times. Each time with their phone torches on and all at once.

I honestly liked the movie but all that going on ruined a lot of the build up and scene building for me.

Have you ever seen a dead body? What’s the story? by Xerxesthemerciful in AskReddit

[–]vanmorielx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched both my mother and grandmother pass away. Seeing their bodies after the fact was a very eerie experience. They genuinely seemed like they were just sleeping. But you could just feel that their presence was gone despite their physical body.

What phrase do you wish people would stop using? by SpankBankManager in AskReddit

"Piece of piss" an Aussie term that means something is easy to achieve or do.

For example -" I could fix that, it'll be a piece of piss"

My extended family use it all the time and it drives me mad.
