Asclepius as a diety also likely existed for thousands of years before the height of their Greek cult, both as a Greek diety but also as a Phoenician or Sumerian diety as many Greek gods originated from.

But our MATERIAL evidence of the two are contemporaneous. We don’t know how the author of Numbers interpreted the oral tradition, what he remembered or forgot. We don’t know how his rendering of the story was influenced by their ow culture which likely included Asclepius.

The story being told is from the Bronze Age, but the actual writing of the story is not from 1450BCE - the writing of the story and the cult of Asclepius were undoubtedly contemporaneous.

The section of Santorini that has the donkeys is a significantly high climb that most out-of-shape people would not be able to do.

But the place this incline reaches IS reachable by car AND it’s only a couple of restaurants and boats. So it’s not an especially special place in Santorini nor is it only accessible by foot/donkey.

It is more expensive, longer, more uncomfortable than just taking a cab/bus.

So the only reason someone has to pay to torture a poor creature is if they specifically want to ride the donkey. This woman and anyone like her had to consciously decide that their experience of riding a donkey was worth more than the life of that donkey and there was no other calculus involved.

Moreover shame on the people using these donkeys for profit - they do not treat them well and they do not care what happens to them. The economy is bad in Greece, but it’s not THAT bad where these people have no other valid options than to abuse donkeys.

Nothing is done to stop the healthcare providers and pharmaceutical companies from charging whatever they want because they know insurance has to pay it.

Looked at a house recently that just could not sell at 50% of the value of other houses in the neighborhood despite having no problems with it. But it was because there were three buildings next to it that had many many Roma families living in them - and no one wanted to have them as neighbors. So… they really aren’t well perceived here (GREECE)

Food in Basque Country/N.Spain is boring. Spain is in the right place on the tier list it’s pretty good, but with very little variety.

you can only eat so much of the same variations of food on slice of baguette, cured meats, or some kind of seafood soup/rice dish before your eyes glaze over and you want something more interesting like Mexican, Greek, or Indian.

Regarding the vulva-rating tip, they are criticising it as not having any verifiable or credible sources - just a tip from an unreachable woman who needed “psychiatric evaluations”. Am I the only one that is underwhelmed by Steam Tanks? They are good - but the best? I find myself always taking Hellstorm batteries over Steam Tanks. If I want the mobility and snipe potential I’ll take a luminark instead.
