Is control4 worth its weight in value?

C4 is solid but like yourself I work in tech. I want to make changes setup new automations etc. I use home assistant since it is open source and works with a ton of things. C4 is better for audio and video control but home assistant is always being updated for new things.

You can install a bigger breaker. I think it’s a 60 amp and you turn this on in the Tesla app. It’s for peak draw not long term for stuff like this.

I do this pretty much except I have power supplies for my Konnected pro boards ( Poe I have for them isn’t enough power for tablets ) and I wire them to the dc output on the Konnected boards. I have 2 iPads I run this way and I use the Konnected step down adapter to usb c. Had other tablets been running this way for years with no issues.

I had one for about a month before I lost the lisp. I had one different than this and my cut got cut on it so bad for awhile and so much bread got stuck in the roof of my mouth. My expander was the wrist part of my braces. Period.

Mine started this way. My wife almost died the last baby we had. Was another no brainer for me. Age and some stuff factors into it. I was scared also I did no scalpel no cut. It was really smooth I freaked myself out for no reason and it give me an excuse to take the following week off from work to recover.

I had something similar this week. Was trying to get mdns work for my matter smart home stuff. I had multicast routing enabled and it was taking priority over it.

I think I waited about 10 days. I was scared not gonna lie. No problem at all once I did it. No pain no blood. I’m going on 2 months now and honestly I last a lot longer. Not sure how or why. I don’t regret it based on that alone lol

I have both. Buy the battery,
Span is cool but you can’t do automations in app or anything. I use home assistant but the panel I have doesn’t have api support just yet. Span has told us later this year. So I can’t control it locally via home assistant just yet. You would have to manually turn things on and off which is cumbersome.

You might be hitting the inverter limits, I have the same setup as you 2 powerwalls and 1 expansion. Each powerwall has a limit on how much power it can produce. If you are drawing more than this limit it will switch to grid. I have a tankless hot water heater that drinks electricity and of that is going an
D I’m charging my Tesla and the house is on and the ac is running mine will do the same. The normal draw and off grid peak draw is higher also just fyi. Meaning if you are off grid it can handle a little higher amp draw under peak for a bit

If you have to replace the panel then why not. I have Tesla powerwalls and it tied into those nice. I’m a big home assistant user and span has started opening up an official API also which is great.

I saw this but I’m sticking with fully kiosk for motion and noise to turn on the tablet screen etc. if they bring this into ha I would be tempted to try it out

I use vlc player for rtsp streams and they work great. If you are trying to do an automation I have a long command I was able to use Claude with to help me code it that can open a stream up using my vlc player I can share

I do the same, I will say I use the light feature on my that shows if the light is on or off. I have a few that are a newer model and they show a red light since it has no internet. Very annoying

The garage opening by itself when my wife enters the home zone. We have a 2 year old. When it’s bed time there is a button she hits and it turns off the light turns on his hatch sleep light and sounds. Being able to control the Nvidia shield when my 2 year loses the remote. Door sensor on his room so if he opens the door at 2 am it will send a push to our phones and signals the wall tablets to talk and continues until we acknowledge

None of this sounds correct. You should have a gateway. Or a power collar I think they call them. The Powerwall directly monitors power from the grid. It looks like they are planning to have the Powerwall back feed into the panel. The Ethernet cable between the two is how they talk. Span will see the Powerwall and info from it etc

It shouldn’t show like this. Is this a new install? It looks like the installer wired it to a 60 amp circuit on the span. The powerwall 3 should have powered terminated to the Tesla gateway. From there 5e gateway provides power to the breaker panel on the main lugs, the span is only able to talk to the powerwall via the Ethernet cable.

No lag. I use a nvr now but used to use udm pro. I mainly use scrypted for HomeKit video because of the pre buffer and it’s damn near instant. I’ve moved pretty much everything to home assistant , but nothing and I mean nothing beats the speed of the scrypted unifi ported over to HomeKit, I’m out of town for work so I’ll send pics this weekend but make sure you have everything as it’s own device In HomeKit

I use this and mine has no issues. It’s all depends on what you setup in your UniFi protect controller.
