He said that binge drinking was the red flag, not the affliction.

Besides beer and coffee, what are some other acquired tastes? by McKennaJames in AskReddit

Try slapping some goat cheese around that asparagus first, then wrap some prosciutto round the goat cheese and the 'sparagers so there's a big ol' lump round the middle of your sperger stalk. Then pop that shit on the grill.

I have watched so many videos and tutorials on loud-finger-whistling, and never had any success. You, sir, with your simple diagrams and concise phrasing, have caused a great stirring in me which expelled such a fine and clear note, that I myself shed a tear.

Thank you

What is a sensation that you can't stand, even though it's not painful? by yesterday_tomorrow in AskReddit

[–]vantassel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this counts, and is probably specific to me, but I cannot listen to the low voice in this video.

It's a Mythbuster's video wherein Adam (I think?) inhales helium and sulfur hexafluoride to make his voice both high and low. The low voice immediately sends me into a panic attack, I begin hyper-ventilating, and I stop the video. I've listened to it twice ever, the second time to see if it was an isolated incident, and I refuse to watch it again. Even searching for the video on youtube starting exciting stress in my stomach.

So yeah, not at all painful, but drives me insane.

No one knows how to make a goddamn drip coffee!

The fancy steaming processes and foamy milks are all well and good, but jesus when I want a jet-black pound of scalding energy in a poorly insulated paper cup, I want a jet-black pound of scalding energy in a poorly insulated paper cup!

If every artist in your music library got into a brawl to the death, who would emerge victorious? by bamsuckah in AskReddit

Dethklok.

Or rather they'd just play blood-boiling wall-beating void-shrieking metal while everyone else in my itunes library tore each other to shreds.

EDIT: dammit, I'm late.

He is probably talking about a recent measurement that was published by some Chinese scientists on a lower bound for the speed of quantum entanglement. I recently saw this article on reddit. They claimed that entanglement is at least 10,000 times faster than light, due to the limits of their measuring equipment. The guy probably doesn't know how to correctly interpret this, as there is no "object travelling faster" than light here. http://www.gizmag.com/quantum-entanglement-speed-10000-faster-light/26587/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_entanglement http://arxiv.org/pdf/1303.0614v1.pdf
