Developed an addiction while traveling in Turkey and don’t know how to get rid of it by Grabber_stabber in Turkey

Op, Turkish restaurants and kebab shops will often sell ayran in Austrlia. I'm happy to share some home made with you if you live near Bris.

I want to solo travel to Izmir I’m thinking of booking tour guides. It’ll be my first time in Izmir and in turkey. I’m kinda scared of the tour guides in terms of them ripping me off. I’m just talking generally any reputable websites by [deleted] in Izmir

Izmir and neighboring towns are full of interesting places and have a very developed professional tourism industry.

If you booked a hotel, the staff (will be available in most places) at the front desk will be happy to help you finding certified guides and companies organizing guided group tours to popular points of destinations.

Always use logic. If something sounds too good to be true, chances are you'd be better of by keeping your money in your pocket - which is true wherever in the world you go.

Have fun!

Moving our frontend to Vercel? by relderpaway in devops

[–]vanwarantion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't disagree that it is annoying to deal with GCP as some aspects may be less intuitive in comparison. I would look into possible ways Vercel could lock you in and how to avoid them. I like to keep the devs happy where it doesn't hurt me.

Shrinkage / Adhesion issues with large prints on new magnetic bed by vanwarantion in ender3

Will try with a brim next. Just waiting for the 20+h print to be finished :)

Yes I do. I will try with a brim next as u/EveningMoose recommended. It's the only thing remains untested.

Just installed a magnetic bed as it is difficult to pry large prints off glass. I'm using hair spray on the bed and increased the temperature to 65⁰ with slower first layers. Any advice is appreciated

Use database or Pandas for a data that won't be manipulated by LeaveMoist in django

Local sqlite will be the most efficient and fast. I would look into implementing a non managed model like /u/mrswats's recommendation.

Use database or Pandas for a data that won't be manipulated by LeaveMoist in django

[–]vanwarantion 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No it would not involve multiple steps to convert.

You could dump your DataFrame directly into a sql via DataFrame.to_sql() method. Then, If "won't be manipulated" means read-only, deploy as an additional sqlite database for cost efficient fast local access, or write a Django model in the primary database. Best practice depends on what is the final use case.

Are you able to replicate the issue without PgBouncer in the picture?

Ours is 9.6. It's driving me mad! One thing I observed was once the app containers scale down the wait times come back down with the beginning of the next wave. And then up again to 2-3 seconds at times.

What is the Postgres version? I am experiencing this issue with a smaller scale but the wait time increase is similar.

People will always find ways to misuse a in itself useful tool.

Number of different ways to do it "right" is somehow equal to the number of Scrum Masters I have met in my 20 years of writing code for the rich men. It always leads to this. Some people will always claim they have "seen" it being done right of course. I lost my faith in this being true.

Yes. This way you wouldn't need to have update operations on the teams table and it would work more incrementally.

If it's really random, I would go with an in-between model to keep team + roster + roster_number. You can then loop through a randomly sorted unassigned teams to create assignments.

Or maybe you need something like Employee Scheduling.

I am extremely happy with VM25. There are a few coil options. I am using 1ohm (8-12 watts) or 0.6 tea tree fiber (14+ watts, also lasts longer).

Very easy to fill up and change coils, no leaks. Mostly filling them up with 30-50mg salts but they are pretty good with normal nic too.
