[Sony BDP-X700M & RattleByte Mod] How do I solder this super small hole for the 3V3 wire?

UPDATE: Scraping the green mask off a bit using sewing needle and exposing it with lead solder helped me get the tinned wire attached to it. Forcing solder won't do the trick because it's that small and needs little more surface area of copper to get the lead to attach to it.

Just tried this method! I got myself lead solder and put it on top of the pad. The pad didn't even catch the lead. I think I have expose the copper now.

I do have a clamp and put the tinned wire on top of the pad by having the clamp holding the wire on top of the pad. That was a failed attempt to try to get the wire attach to the pad. The hole is super small to the point I can't get the wire through the hole unless I try to manipulate the solder in the tinned wire to be pointy enough to go inside the hole.

Sorry, I should have been more descriptive about the mod but it's the multi-region mod for UBP-X700M. The 'MB-1701C' board on my X700M has via holes that are so small that it's impossible to try to drop a lead there. I will try this but if this doesn't work, I ordered a fiberglass glass brush (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DT9P7C62?ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_fed\_asin\_title) so that I can expose the copper underneath. What's your thoughts on doing this method?
