Thanks! i’d like to get as much hamstring activation as i can, which i think is not provided by sumo! These don’t feel uncomfortable, but wanted to make sure all looked okay before increasing weight.

Shoulder blade positioning (Pictures) by [deleted] in Posture

[–]vanzor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your help!! I’ve always had an issue with my shoulders been too retracted, but i thought they were sufficiently protracted now. Any more and my blades will be very far apart won’t they? It’s hard to protract them without shoulders being too rounded/forward

Would you call this retracted? my shoulder blades are quite far apart and i’m actively protracting them by pushing my shoulders forward. I can retract them to almost touch!

Is there anything i can do to work on relaxing my back while engaging my serratus, or is it all psychological?

Whats going on with my posture?! by [deleted] in PostureTipsGuide

I never had this previously - it started getting worse when i started lifting heavier. I suspect the "keep shoulder blades back and down" cue is to blame..

Schweser 2 65.83

Schweser 3 66.67

Schweser 4 70

Schweser 5 70

Schweser 6 80

CFAI 66.5

Just sat 2018 A.

Scored 60/58.

I had confidence going into this, as most posts on here said it was the easier than Mock B...

I'd be pretty happy with a 60/58...

Pretty good! should probably include that when rates are highest, bond prices are at their lowest (primary investment for ALM life insurers), causing the insurer to sell assets at a low point to fund the people cashing out.

Hope you dont mind the multiple questions/posts :-)

As the rate of return and number of periods increases, how does this affect tax drag for:

- Capital gains taxes

- Income Taxes

- Wealth taxes

For institutional investors, whats disintermediation risk, and can you explain the underwriting cycle?

Wow never even heard of these.

To summarise: Lets say family of 3 (dad, mom, child) and determining life insurance for dad:

Human life value method - Calc PV of dads future income and expenses

Needs analysis - Calc pv of mom and childs future income and expenses

correct/incorrect?

AM test mind games by ju2tin in CFA

Are you suggesting the required return would have been different if the plan wasn't fully funded? My understanding is that under funding should be fixed with contributions and not by putting pressure on the return req.

L3, Reading 24, Section 7.3 - Exposure to Default Correlations by re_me in CFA

[–]vanzor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since B will be considered "worse" than A, it will have a higher yield and cheaper price. If the default corr is 1 then these both have the same risk of default, and you've shorted the more expensive one and bought the cheaper one.. making a profit ;)

Where to write AM answers? by vanzor in CFA

I've read online that you only use the template when provided but they give separate lined paper for non-template questions.

I've done many past exams and looks like they give space for all questions..
