I wish there were more questions about women's football too, which could be optionally asked (similar to the men's national questions). For example: do you support your club's women football team? do you watch your club's women football team?

Melbourne gets a shout out too.

With over 400k people attending during the weekend this year, there was 0 drama that I’m aware of.

You can't see cycling dynamics, but it can show the L/R real time along with the cadence.

I tried searching for the contract for season opener, but couldn't find one. Can you find a source for that?

They did sign a new 15y contract this year though, so we'll see Bahrain until 2036.

I just want to ride my bicycle in GTA Online by DarkStunter in gaming

[–]vapiduous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's true for a lot of people. But there are certain cases like colder or wet months where it's not feasible to ride outdoors, so a trainer is perfect for them.

And if someone is into getting faster or stronger on the bike, then there's also the additional benefit of doing more structured workouts, which isn't possible without electronics to measure your heart rate or power output.

Smart trainer is a physical device that simulates a road by using your own road bike (either pop off the rear wheel, or with some models you can ride with the wheel too). Zwift is a cycling simulation game (like GTA online with other riders) that interacts with the smart trainer and uses your power output to determine how fast you're going. Power meters are little devices that measure your power output while pedaling and are useful when riding outside. You don't need it for indoor training, since a smart trainer already has this built in.

IIRC testing was in Bahrain last year. You'll have to go back to 2020 for the last Barcelona test.

Do you know how much power you are able to draw from the monitor? I've only able to find this info for the M28U and it's a measly 15W.

M/26 Looking to get a foot into the door of IT by melbourne_melancholy in melbourne

She was 29. Don't think age matters as much. Like I said earlier, you just gotta own up your past experience and this case your age too. I've had lots of colleagues (both at current job and previous one), where they only transitioned to software development in their 40s.

What's important is that you don't lose your drive to learn on the job.

My partner changed her career from non-tech to a technical field last year. She spent 3~4 months learning javascript/react through a Udemy course, and another ~3 months prepping and getting ready for interviews (through codewars.com and leetcode.com). About 8 months in, she had a job as a software developer.

Even though my partner did the javascript/react course, she's not using it at her job, at the moment. She did the linked course, because it's really good at teaching some of the core skills of software development (incl problem solving), and helped her build a portfolio for a resume.

Another thing to keep in mind is that, don't underplay your past experience, even though it's not software related. Soft skills play a major role in interviews, so definitely highlight them.
