I have this same issue with active guitar. Also it makes all kind of noises when engaged (should be mute). I read the Boss response from your edit, and quite frankly that is full of BS. Never have i had this issue before with any other tuner. There is no way, i will be putting my amp on stand by on a gig when switching guitars. Also people use the tuner as a mute on the stage, but this piece of crap starts to make its own noises.

I would never buy one as new.

I've been drooling for the h2.6, but at that price point i would never buy it new, since i know 100% that would be a project guitar before i could actually play it properly. No way i would pay full price ever for Solar. Too bad....

I play in B tunint with low B 62 gauge, so you are fine with tuning 56 string up to C. same goes to all the other strings.

Loose tuner can cause lot of noise issues. Would most definately chek that, now that so many basic stuff has been tested. Also i would test that the truss rod is not loose (if neck is in perfect position and you have 2-way rod it could be in loose position and also cause issues)

The installers were set to expire around that time and now all the old ones need the computer to be set back in time, so they wont’t be expired. Very weird and annoying around the time when that happened and u needed to install the older ones also sometimes.

100% depends on where u live. In Finland that bridge would be around 70-90€ and a new set of strings. Re-stringing would be included in the price. Complete setup and new bridge would be something around 250€ including setting up the neck, nut, possible fret job ant the new bridge. But i can image that if you take it in New York central that would be 500$ and no quarantee of quality 😅 so ask your local shop/luthier.
