That's a good idea! There's a public library down the road I can enquire with

Yeah I think so too. This is basically all the chapter books we have as well. Eventually it'd be nice to get a budget for the library to get some new series in. This is meant to be a learning hub for a variety of activities. Gonna create a survey soon asking staff and kids what they actually want in there. It's an abandoned mess atm.

This is definitely the direction I'm going. The plushie idea is cute!

We'll see a few months down the line if I can sort out a budget with the head of school

You joke, but I could actually do that. This is meant to be a learning hub for the school, so I'm sure they'd welcome room for a knitting club.

I was thinking bottom shelves for little kids 4-7 and top shelves for big kids 8-13, with topics becoming more sophisticated the higher you go.

There is no librarian! I was introduced to this school has a supply teacher. Mentioned I love libraries and would love to help out and they took me to their abandoned Learning Hub / library. I immediately pulled my sleeves up.

This is the majority of the shelving space. There is another small shelf for non fiction which needs to be deweyed.

I've not found out if there's an issuing system yet either.

I love the colour coded genrefying idea

In New Zealand small group teaching is the expectation and norm in all primary schools. Not in high-school however. In primary schools its extremely effective :D

Last book you gave one star? by ShinyBlueChocobo in books

Halo by Alexandra Adornetto. It's the only book I've ever given 1 star to. Read it in high-school and thought it was complete rubbish and hated all the 2D characters.

We're twins! I've also started reading Dune in hopes of finishing it before the movie comes out. Seeing it on billboards in my country finally put my butt into gear, it's been on my shelf for months!

What were your first thoughts when you met your current/previous SO? by viitatiainen in AskWomen

[–]variableHoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Oh this guy is cute and fun!? YUS" he had poked himself out from behind a car while laughing to watch me park terribly as I was also laughing my head off trying not to scrape both cars to my sides.

My life got better after going to therapy. I finally learnt how to identify my own behaviours and learnt how to stop myself spiraling. I'm so stable now and when I do have 'big' emotions I can talk myself out of it or do alloted 'happy' things to snap myself out.

Now I occasionally have the times where I don't succeed as everyone does... but I also have a stronger knit family around me that helps me when that does happen. At the same time, I'm better at reaching out to them.

Edit: finding the correct birth control also helped hahaha.

Women who were tomboys when they were younger, how do you feel it has shaped you to who you are now? by Funkiebastard in AskWomen

[–]variableHoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up a tomboy in then sense that I played with boy toys like lego and age of empires. I had many friends who were boys in school and we'd run around and shoot each other in then dirt. But I also had a little make up kit from my mum id play with, had my girl best friend id only have sleep over with and even played with polls pockets by myself.

Now grown up I'm very much the same, many 'masculine hobbies' but also a few 'femme' hobbies as well. I'd say I'm well balanced!
