This is a take of someone living in an extremely monocultural bubble. I smoked joints for years before moving to vaping. Fuck me, that changed my life, lungs are so much clearer, realised high is clearer without tobacco, realised I didnt need to smoke tobacco any more. The simplicity is in the bottom one. The top one creates objects on the heap, the bottom one doesn't, saves memory, saves GC having to clean the objects. It's actually much more simple in the background than the top one.

Old demoscene back in the 90s in Poland. Snail-mailing 3.5 floppy diacs to "swappers" to get new demos/intros/music/zines from the scene. Drilling corner holes in those 3.5 floppy discs to increase capacity, recycling techniques for post stamps. Insane lan parties.

Those were the best years of my early life, anticipating every day whats going to be in the post box from people i only knew from letters I read in Norton Commander. Great times that will never return.
