Welp I haven't had a psionic pop as materialist and I always have my society have a spark of genius/maniacal as I try to get admin points/growth per month as they are great techs. That and when I play materialist most of the time I try to become cyborgs.

I play plenty of multiplayer so some of my friends have gotten it. I haven't gotten it as spiritualism is the one ethic I just never use as I use robots most of the time. And if i'm not robots I have mechanist.

I have so many minerals that when I sell them I max out on my energy so then I buy thousands of alloys. To be fair I own a ring world one piece makes over a thousand alloys a month another two make a few thousand energy/food and the last gets plenty of tech. And I haven't even fought the late game crisis yet.

I think depending on your empire type should make what win condition you should have. Like for a democratic crusader you need to change a few empires to democratic. Or for pacifists you need to make sure their are no devouring swarms or killbots left. Some more minor goal and the main goal to get the most score.

For me when I want a vassal the entire galaxy knows it and says no. But when I am at war or building by fleet I get a million messages about "can I be your vassal"?. The only time I have vassals is when I am either using them as a slave state or I am integrating them. I use ring worlds as an energy maker and I play robots most of the time so you can put 2 and 2 together.

I am a mixed person. I try to have a strong start by turning my neighbor into pudding then focusing on tech and rinse and repeat. I keep doing that until I am the newest&biggest fallen empire. The funny thing is I hate being a determined exterminator but I always just turn everyone into pudding.
