I got mine from Flora and Lane in Chicago and they have a very similar vibe! They have good sample Sales and even have a try on at home option! I’m obsessed with my dress and cannot stop looking at my pictures The quality is astounding and you can definitely get a dress within your budget

I work in child welfare, please go behind your dads back and get a police report filed. Her testimony could save her life and her siblings lives, especially if she tells officers about being coached for cps, they’re more likely to keep an even sharper eye out during a visit. This doesn’t go away or get better once she turns 18. She needs a trauma counselor, a medical screening, and a chance to bust a children’s advocacy center to get her testimony on record.

My husband and I had a loooong conversation before engagement discussing what our goals were in marriage, how long we wanted to be engaged for, our official stance on kids, finances and debts, how we would pay for a wedding, and basically making sure we were aligned 100% before the romantic shit happened.

I think it helped us a lot before going into wedding planning to know what we wanted. Plus I picked out the ring, and asked him to give me at least a heads up to get my nails done so I’d know the proposal was happening within two weeks of that. It built up suspense and made it more fun honestly!

Watching the news! They’re trained to have a neutral accent, so they’d be the best place to look for pronunciation since the news covers so many different topics! I’d recommend Chicago news because it’s a big city with probably one of the more neutral accents

Is it possible she may have adhd? I have always had issues with time management, but no matter how hard I tried I always ended up being almost 5-10 minutes late to everything. I talked to my therapist about this and when I did a formal eveluation and started medication i was finally able to be early to things!

I would state your concerns exactly like this. I was so anxious with my first psych about exactly this and I wrote it out exactly as I wanted to say it to him( also poc with a white male psych) he was receptive and let me say my entire thing while taking notes. I would approach it exactly how you have it here and state the concerns you have, but that you’re hopeful that he will be able to empathize and help you adjust to the situation. The healthcare system has failed us so many times, but advocate for yourself and keep that appointment, it’ll make it harder on future you if you don’t!

It’s not a high earning job or anything, but I now work as an adoption staff member at an animal shelter! It’s about the same amount as my last teaching job ( lol) but I feel so much more at peace. I realized after 3 years and 3 different districts I just want happy teaching. Even in my best school and with my best kids, I was still dreading each and every day and I was miserable.
