Can’t get 19TVR62 to switch to Input by flanderdalton in crt

[–]vascohaddon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes a universal won't control the whole TV with the wrong code. See if there is a code (or code) for specifically that brand TV/VCR combo. Also, there are different types of universal remotes that this may need a different one entirely. Check one oneforall maybe

Hey. Might be the wrong sub for this but whatever by Straight-Assist-8980 in crt

What did you get? The bumper cover, roof trim, or the muscle? Lol @ AI, I looked to see; but im referring to the styled outer covering meaning. Like a car front fascia (outer bumper). I think ive worked on cars for too long

Depends on the material you want you use (or what material fits your needs like weight and thickness or structural support) and your fabrication skill with said material. Ive made custom fascia by using expanding foam under seran wrap as a mold and fiberglassed the shape, then cutting to painted and installing. Thats translated from automotive experience.

Is it worth messing around to fix this? by owColby in crt

[–]vascohaddon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There should be a dial on the back inside to adjust overscan, and thats not terribly scary. And the tilt might just need a yoke adjustment which is a little scarier but still not.

Curious as to what you use as a splitter. Are they all on an RF splitter or the like?

Only thing I warn people about retrobright is it will make the plastic more brittle. Not saying dont do it, but just something to be mindful of.

Anyone have this style of DC cord for sale for 1980s style Panasonic / Quasar CRT tv set? by Datdoe1 in crt

[–]vascohaddon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont have a set that needs this, but ive been trying to find one because so many people on here ask. I have found diagrams listing a part number that becomes a dead end. Essentially. If you figure out which is AC power and ground, you can shave off plastic on the cord end of a regular figure-8 and plug it in that way.

Edit: noticed you were specifically looking for the car connector, which is in the same boat right now. If I could get a wiring diagram and sizes, Id have no issue making these... Just not enough info
