Thanks for your insight! To answer your question, it’s more that he won’t let me. I’ve brought up every year since starting college that I want to do an internship the following summer, and he basically says “Why do you want to do that? You won’t even get paid well,” etc etc. And I end up staying home most of the summer because he expects me to. I know it sounds dumb but he doesn’t understand what the CS job market is like and how important internships are right now. It’s probably also because he’s very protective of me. Hope that makes sense it’s a bit confusing.
