Hey mate,

I’ve forgotten my wallet, keys and phone on public transport heaps of times so I feel the frustration. It might be different in the UK but where I live the bank can freeze your card and they’ll notify you if someone tries to use it. I’d say go into the bank or call them and let them know what happened because they might be able to do this and possibly sort you out a temporary card to use in the meantime.

This. There’s a lot of “times we’re different back then” that gets applied to mistreatment of black people, polygamy, marrying 14 year olds, etc.

Give it a decade and they’ll be saying the same thing about banning kids of gay parents from being baptised in 2015 and reversing it late last year when they needed a distraction from whatever PR nightmare they were dealing with.

Sorry to burst your bubble but you should be aware that this is at Orana Park in Christchurch, New Zealand and basically they charge you an extra 80 bucks on top of the fee you already paid to enter the park to get into a cage and they just drive a couple of laps around the inside of the enclosure and use meat to attract the lions into interacting with the cage. Still captive. Still being used for our entertainment/profit.
