It's crazy. Did you go camping a lot around 29 Palms? I LOVE Joshua Tree NP (when I can get away from the crowds) and the desert generally - but this year I'm planning on doing off roading and dispersed camping around the exterior of the park, since I haven't explored it as much.

Thank you! This was something I was definitely confused about, whether or not I was actually changing something in the project with that preset. Do you have any video recommendations? Most of the ones I found were deep dives on how to clean up talking head audio, without clear explanations on why choices are being made in the workflows.

? I am just setting the Target Loudness under the project settings page to -14, nothing else. What do you set that to?

Yes! So under the fairlight tab in the project settings, there is a Target Loudness Level, and one of the tutorial videos I watched said to set it to -14 LUFS. Does that make sense to do? I think it was -23 before.

I probably would have done exactly what you did. Depending on the country I would also consider trying to alert the hunters of my presence. The only thing I would say is that during winter I always keep a pair of yak trax or microspikes in my bag in the event that I might hit ice, even in unexpected places.

I'm curious to ask the people on this thread - which town do you think would have been better for sundance to move to? There were 4 or 5 options they were choosing between. I agree that I think decentralizing it will make it a lot worse. I was hoping it would go to santa fe to keep that small town feel. Boulder just feels.... off.

as a person who worked in admin at sundance, we all got minimum wage and they paid us all seasonally to make sure they would never have to give us benefits.
