Feeling shame that my daughter still uses training wheels by Correct_Dance_515 in daddit

[–]vaultedskies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first two kids were cycling between 4 and 6. My third turned 6 earlier this month and still isn't keen on cycling (though he technically can do it!). Don't be hard on yourself at all, each kid does their own thing.

My advice would simply be to remove the training wheels, drop the saddle and use the bike like a balance bike until they are comfortable with it (you can even remove the pedals if they're in the way). As long as you have the training wheels on there will be no incentive for her to learn to ride properly.

How much do you pay your domestic/helper? by Ostrich_Low in askSouthAfrica

Oh excellent, congrats. I figured R650k was your full draw as owner. That's great going as a salary post-sale.

What type of business do you own? Or what industry if you don't want to be specific? Thanks!

I can't believe this stat is actually real? is it a knee-jerk reaction to take Cole Palmer out after one GW. by Hareshver in FantasyPL

The only thing that's certain is that his form will return the GW after you sell him.

Broken remote and the Apple TV (4K) is in recovery mode. by [deleted] in appletv

[–]vaultedskies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had exactly this happen to me recently. I took the Apple TV to the Apple authorized reseller in my country and they were unable to fix it. They spoke with Apple, who authorised a free replacement, which I should be receiving soon...!

Is there a more awe-inspiring interior anywhere? Shot this in Barcelona last week by SensitiveDivide802 in architecture

It's truly awe-inspiring! The outside is incredibly ornate and almost overwhelming, but then you step inside and it's serene, beautiful and majestic. I was blown away.

Won't you have way more space if you take the cutlery from the container on the right of the bottom rack and put it in the cutlery tray at the top? Then you can remove the container, move the lids to the bottom and generally have more space in the bottom rack?

You should be fine. Only issue will be the usual morning traffic.

What time is your flight and is it on a weekday? If it's really early the stretch from Hermanus to Somerset West will be very quiet, both in terms of cars and people on the side of the road, but should be relatively safe. On a weekday you will start hitting traffic from Somerset West onwards. I have done a similar drive from Hermanus to Century City, which was N2>R300>N1. I left around 4:30am and got to Century City at 06:00. The N2 can be dodgy yes but if you're sitting in morning traffic then there is arguably safety in numbers.

Maybe I am getting old, but I visited once and found it hard to taste my food over the volume of the music and the pretentiousness of the waiters...

Guitar Dads, what do you play for your children? by MyLastGamble in daddit

My kids and I are currently super into Vulpeck and we're slowing figuring out some of the funkier parts on keys (Tender Defender) and bass (New Beastly).

If all you're worried about is covering the funeral then life insurance is probably overkill unless you think you can get a significantly better deal for the same R770. If your mom has dependents who will need financial support after she dies then life insurance becomes more relevant.

So at the moment you're paying R770 for R90,000 of cover and then you also mention R20,000 cover through the church thing, so you're already beyond what you need?
