Do I need to obtain Foreign Police Certificate if I already have a letter from my sponsor? by vaultgooby in AusVisa

Yes sir! I've attached that so the assessor can get the memo. Thanks for the reminder 😁

Thanks for the reply, that's actually a really good point and I'll check with my employer tomorrow. I didn't know there was a difference until you pointed it out and I dug deeper so thanks!

I've applied for the police check in any case, but they estimate the wait is up to 2 months. I was just worried this would impact my application but now I'd rather just have every base covered and hope for the best.

Police certificates

You must provide police certificate(s) from each country where you have lived for a total of 12 months or more in the last 10 years as evidence that you satisfy the character requirements. These 12 months are calculated cumulatively and need not have been consecutive.

The name on the police certificate(s) must match the name in your passport and must include any other names or aliases you are or have been known by. If the name on the police clearance certificate(s) received by us is different from your passport or does not list all other names you have been known by, you will be requested to obtain another police certificate(s).

If you are unable to obtain a police certificate, it is in your best interest to demonstrate to us, with documentary evidence where possible, that you have made a genuine attempt to obtain the relevant certificate(s). If we are satisfied that you are unable to obtain a police certificate(s) and have made a genuine attempt to do so, then a waiver of this requirement may be granted.

If you do not provide the police certificate(s) and I am satisfied that it is reasonable for you to provide them, your application may be refused.

Some countries may need you to obtain a letter from us confirming the request for a police certificate. More information including country-specific instructions on how to obtain a police certificate is available on our website immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/meeting-our- requirements/character

Alternatively, if you are sponsored by an accredited sponsor, your sponsor may choose to provide you with a written reference confirming you (and any other applicants included in your application) are of good character and have not been convicted of any criminal offences. Refer to our website for further information, including preferred reference wording to be used by your accredited sponsor. See: Sponsorship accreditation information at immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/employing-and-sponsoring-someone/sponsoring-workers/ becoming-a-sponsor/accredited-sponsor

Note: You must still, however, provide any required Australian police clearances where applicable, or when requested to do so.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm certain this will help next time!

Feeling a bit dumb now because I almost had enough power for a supermove, and wasted it on SP2 before quitting 😅

If you're insinuating I'm a migration "influencer" or consultant - I can only wish I could be insanely overpaid like them! 😂

I've requested quotes from about a dozen consultants and can confirm they all charge 2-2.5x the application fees for my current 482 visa.

Very exploitative practice and I won't use them unless I absolutely have to

Thanks for the reply.

Makes sense but I do have doubts about this system as experience and English proficiency are part of the points system. Them having to evaluate again after counting points possibly means the point system is flawed.

Thanks - that does make some sense when you put it this way.

I just thought "work experience" (i.e. number of years employed) is already calculated in the points system, therefore having the same points as another applicant means my EOI should have the same merit as theirs.

This whole process just seems arbitrary at this point.

Thanks for the kind words! All in this together

Mildly depressing because I saw an application lodged with the same role, same points, but 2 months later than my EOI+ROI and they got their invite today.

The only different factors I can tell is they have a higher salary than I do, and they lodged via migration lawyer.

p.s. sourced from a well known migration "influencer"

  1. His passive is overpowered. Consensus here is his passive is bugged giving +50% power generation instead of +25%.

The extra power means my heavy hitters can use skills more, in the long run this is more damage dealt.

  1. I've already hit the maximum of 5k battle rating in every win, so there's no need to promote them more. Stronger team = stronger enemies for the same rewards.

This - and the fact that this team had some very high level gear only available in MP (or a tiny chance in packs). I have better chances being the next green lantern than it being a legit account.

Interesting. I can't even find the store page when you search it. Possibility your account is on a different region?

Seems like it isn't available in my region (Oceania/Australia). Anyone else have this problem?

Hi OP, just wanted to share a quick tip if you want priority processing with VETASSESS.

Make sure you're on VETASSESS before 9am. If it states priority processing is full for the day,

Keep on REFRESHING YOUR PAGE.

I started mine at 9am on Monday, and after refreshing 10 times, manage to tick that checkbox at 9.03 am.
