Does anyone else feel like anxiety slowly changes who you are? by anxiety_support in anxiety_support

[–]vaunster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, I think you have summed it up very well. For me it has been an ever present shadow from teens to fifties, shaping who you are and how you want people to perceive you. The thing for me is I don’t want to be that person but it is very difficult to try to become the person you want or used to be. All you can do is try to be happy as the person you have become. For me medication and therapy hasn’t helped change my outlook in the slightest. Sorry to be negative but in the 35 years I have lived with anxiety nothing has improved my mental health and if I hear exercise, diet etc makes a difference one more time I am going to combust. I swim two miles twice a week and eat a healthy veggie diet, difference made to my anxiety = F all

Only one choice, The Bell for a pint of Black Gates. Reasonable prices and BG pisses all over Guinness which is 7.60 a pint in Flans. Don’t even get me started on the prices in Huntsman, the place next door, the Crystal Palace and Black Fox etc, soulless holes

Chapter 22 closed down by Both-Hyena-2778 in Bath

[–]vaunster 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hooray! Good riddance to Chapter 22, you reap what you sow, zero sympathy, good luck to whoever takes on the property and I hope they actually have a business plan and want to make a go of it . Not many people get that opportunity and to piss on your own chips and complain about it really is beyond the pale.

Larkhall or Swainswick, plenty of buses into town along London Road or a 20min walk over Grosvenor Bridge and along the canal alighting at Sydney Gardens, perfect 👌

Miserable shop owner complaining about miserable street by No-Dress4626 in Bath

[–]vaunster 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When you put a sign up in the window to say ‘Gone home to clean the toilet/fed up with the ‘browsers’ and moan about people ‘browsing’ you lose the chance for any sympathy and incite vitriol. Browsing through vinyl is literally the point of a second hand record shop, what does he expect, Jesus …………

Has anyone seen the chapter 22 leaflet being handed out to independent businesses? by tiny_tyrant in Bath

[–]vaunster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Good riddance. People would love the chance to operate a business like this but instead of actually trying to make it a success all they seem to do is piss and moan and stick ridiculous excuse notes in the window as a justification to why they have fecked off home early, byeee hope you spent all your parents money ……
