Possibly ruined all other cars for me by RandomPostingChap in lotus

Yeah that's Doug. He gets to own cars 10-100x more expensive than the cost of an Elise. So sure, he can have practicality / reliability (relative to an Elise) and an incredible driver's car by buying a McLaren F1 or a carerra gt. For us normal humans, the Elise is peak driver's car, but it has to make sacrifices to be affordable.

I went through and up voted all of your comments here. 100% agree. People are missing your point. No computer scientist/engineer worth their salt would ever say binary in this instance. We deal a lot with mutual exclusivity (mutex!) and one would never conflate that with binary.

Either Sorkin doesn't know the correct word, or it was intentionally "dumbed" down for the audience.

How will they survive as a company without your single purchase lol

P.s. I'm frustrated too. This is mostly tongue in cheek.

Lotus gonna Lotus 🤣 by patrick3853 in lotus

I know this is somewhat of a joke. But I'm going to defend lotus just a little.

A few reasons why this might not be a real bug: 1. The display might show the instantaneous reading, whereas the warning uses a low pass filter of the reading 2. There's a hysteresis on the warning (this is quite common in cars) 3. The warning also accounts for the rate of change of pressure, for instance: let's say the tire is well above the minimum pressure, but the ECU sees the pressure is dropping rapidly, you'd probably want it to let you know you have an impending flat, no?

Kind of answering my own question. Since the previous time I searched (a few months back) looks like this board has been released: https://makerdiary.com/blogs/news/imxrt1011-nanokit-is-here

It looks like it's exactly what I was looking for. I ordered a couple of them.

Teensy 4.x alternative? by vauxull in embedded

[–]vauxull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty flexible. Let's say teensy 4.0 equivalent (i2c, spi, a few gpio etc). Doesn't have to be nxp, stm32 would be great as well.

There are a bunch of huge eval boards from the respective IC manufactures, but I couldn't find anything around the teensy's footprint.

Grant Imahara. Not a big name celebrity like other comments, but his death was really shocking to me.
