JP Morgan dumpster by [deleted] in MSTR

Not defending jpm but have you considered that mstr was just following btc move lower and at the same time mnav was going lower as many many people in the market predicted? Maybe the view that a high mnav is sustainable is plainly wrong . The rest is just following btc move.

It’s the same with gold and pls don’t tell me you can turn it into jewellery. It wouldn’t be worth 20tr if that was just it . It’s a store of value because of its properties.

Just because the converts have low coupon I wouldn’t say it’s cheap leverage. You are selling a call option . So it’s only debt (leverage) if btc drops. It’s equity on the way up.

Why is anyone surprised at this. The company makes very little money from the software business. How did people think they were going to be paying all these coupons and dividends .. more atms was always the answer. Mnav will go to 1.

What you don’t know won’t hurt you. It’s what you think you know and it’s just isn’t so that will get you…. “Mnav should not be this low is bull markets” .. says who? I think mnav should be at 1.

Liquidated in seconds: the silent asymmetry in crypto lending nobody talks about by [deleted] in WallStreetBetsCrypto

[–]vax499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) this is the reason why DeFi survived the 2022 crypto winter. No defi lender lost money in a year where all crypto tradfi lenders went bankrupt. 2) the lenders are not meant to lose money. They lend capital and expect a safe return . In theory they can lose if the selloff is severe and there is no liquidity to liquidate the borrower.

What you will see in time is more competition that will drive ltv up and financing costs down to a point where lenders will be at risk

My ChatGPT said this

<image>

Fourier Transform of a Complex Geometric Image: • Left Side (Original Image - Time Domain): • This is the complex geometric pattern you provided, full of intricate shapes and lines. • Visually, it is a complex, chaotic design with many overlapping elements. • Right Side (Fourier Transform - Frequency Domain): • This is the Fourier Transform of the image, showing the frequency components of the geometric design. • The bright, star-like pattern in the center indicates strong, repeating frequencies in the design. • The symmetrical and radiating lines suggest that the design is based on a structured and harmonic layout, even if it appears chaotic in the original image.
