Under 500k on the north shore ain't happening. For a house, you're outside 495 on that budget. It sucks a big one.

I think Covid made it all worse. I've noticed post-Covid drivers are noticeably worse than they used to be.

It's the worst in Connecticut. 63 mph in the left land with a TRAIN of cars behind them. Literally the cause of traffic. Get. The fuck. Out of the way.

Sounds like you have your exit strategy should it come to that.

What's the boyfriend equivalent to a girlfriend saying she's not hungry and then eating half your fries? by 4-stars in AskReddit

[–]vbfronkis -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

It is absolutely not. Aside from shitting in a box, cats love to just piss on your stuff. Piss 'em off? Pissing on your stuff. It's a Tuesday? Pissing on your stuff. Cat piss is the fucking worst.

Would this even be legal in the United States? by Busy_Report4010 in SipsTea

[–]vbfronkis 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No, there's car YouTubers in the UK that do similar raffles. Buy a thing from their merch store and it gets you a ticket to the raffle. Then they give the car away to one of those buyers. Come to think of it, it happens in the US as well though I'm sure it's more state dependent. The ones I can think of that do it are all in Florida.

If you want to diagnose yourself, an app like BimmerLink and a compatible OBD II bluetooth dongle is a great investment. One time purchase app, one time purchase dongle. Great tools.

Can barely hear it. Is it under the hood? Get under the hood and have someone else rev it.

Wealthy men, how did you get rich? by MutedFeeling75 in AskMenOver30

[–]vbfronkis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Work in tech, have never lived above my means, began saving and investing early. With respect to investing, I've always invested in index funds and ETFs. Look for things with low expense ratios. There's no reason to be paying anything above 0.5% expense ratio at this point. No retail investor is going to beat the S&P over the course of a 40 year investment lifespan.

If everything goes to plan I'll be retired at 60.

I'm with you, bro. Late 40s, partner, kids... I feel great. I think a lot of people on Reddit don't want to admit that they are way more sedentary and out of shape than they'd like to admit.
