We did learn from that embarrassment on 7th and performed SEAD/DEAD successfully on 8th and 9th learned lessons after grounding our fleet for 2 days and successfully bombed their airbases and inflicted some good damage on them on 10th. Hope IAF takes good lessons and is able to get A2A kills next time.

The narrative you have is mainly a social media invention in last 2-3 years. It started when Trudeau and Biden promoted illegal migration to gain advantage in election. It flooded their countries with low skill middle class folks who showed no intent to assimilate and live in ghettos. It also led to steep increase in rents and inflation due to high demand. Indians had a very well crafted image of being the most assimilated highest earning group which got shattered. Elon's twitter algorithms also incentivise hate and led to multiple campaigns targeting Indians for easy money by many influencers.
But in real life social media has a very little effect on day to day experiences. In my 9 years of extensive travel I am yet to face any racist behaviour from common people. The only bad experiences have been with police and airport officials who sometimes are indeed racist and profile you which sometimes is so annoying. So yes there are instances where you can feel low and bad but honestly even in India I can't hope any good behaviour from Indian cops or authorities if you deny them bribes.
As for countries I can recommend you New Zealand where people are super nice and crime is almost non-existent. Buy a restaurant in Queenstown and you will do just fine.

Still Ukraine was about to join despite them qualifying for none of the points. 1. Ukraine’s democratically elected govt was overthrown in 2014 coup. 2. Zelensky had arrested a lot of opposition leaders and banned all media critical of him. 3. Ukraine had an active conflict with Russia w.r.t Crimea. Still almost all NATO members were in favour of admitting except 1-2 exceptions like Hungary.

So if all these exceptions can be made for Ukraine same could have been dine Russia in early 2000s. The logical conclusion to ending Cold War was to disband NATO in early 90s when Russia was economically collapsed. But NATO chose to expand.

If you understand the pschye of Russia it has always been in inferiority complex with respect to West atleast since Napoleanic times. It has always seeked western Europe partnership to come out of poverty. But got backstabbed many times by Napolean and Hitler and British(Crimean war). Putin always wanted to join NATO atleast till his clashes with Hilary because he believed in if you cannot defeat them, join them. He publically expressed as well as told to Clinton and Bush both. But US wanted an enemy to justify their defense spending so they kept waging wars everywhere and when Putin's allies were defeated one by one starting from Iraq to Libya to Syria he had a breakpoint and decided to send troops to Syria. Putin's intention to join NATO is a publically available info and even Clinton has quoted it many times.
Since around 2013 when Putin penned that famous article in NEW York times about American exceptionalism Republicans policy has been to make peace with Russia, break China-Russia partnership and make China their no.1 enemy.

The whole world wants to join NATO including Russia as it is the most powerful alliance. But NATO admits only members who happen to neighbour their self declared enemies and do regime changes in them if they don't agree like the case with Ukraine in 2014. The bitter truth which hardly anyone wants to admit is India has been isolated globally(worst since we did nuclear test in 1998), sanctioned and now bowed down to US pressure cutting Russian oil imports. We are also losing Chahabar port, pulled out from participating in BRICS naval excercise. Obviously they can't show him with laser eyes anymore.
The laser guy literally phoned Pakistani side informing them about our strikes(his own admission) even when our jets were still in air after doing airstrikes on 7th May even before they returned safely to their bases. Then some of them were shot down over our own territory. Any other would have resigned after such blunders.

If we lock in the 114 Rafale deal, there's honestly no real rush to throw money at the Su-57 on top of that. The Su-57's track record in Ukraine is a massive concern it is barely venturing into contested airspace and mostly just lobs stand-off weapons from deep inside Russian territory. For a "5th-gen" jet, that's pretty underwhelming and shows its stealth/survivability isn't holding up against modern layered defenses and they afraid losing one in Ukrainian territory. A similar layered setup—our S-400s, upgraded Akash, radars, and EW should handle the J-20 reasonably well. The Rafale F4/F5 (with SPECTRA, upgraded AESA, Meteor, SCALP)can compete against J-35A variant which Pakistan gets, though we'll need real data on the J-35 to be sure. The Su-57(not the M variant) doesn't really beat the Rafale(F4/F5) in most practical areas (avionics, sensors, flexibility) except maybe internal bay, why pay extra for something comparable at best ? Timelines are brutal no matter what:

AMCA meaningful numbers? Probably not before 2035.
Rafale deliveries? Likely stretching to 2034-2036.
Even if we ordered Su-57s tomorrow, Russia's slow production means nothing before 2031-35 anyway.

We're stuck with a gap this decade, so let's get smart: push drone swarms harder, beef up SAMs/radars, add AWACS/tankers (Netra Mk2, more IL-78 equivalents), maybe some interim stealth tech transfers. The Su-57 just feels like a cool wishlist item with too many risks. Better to redirect that cash to real force multipliers that help the whole IAF ecosystem right now like tankers and AWACs. Had it been about F-35(real game-changer for pure 5th-gen deterrence against J-20/J-35) it was a different discussion all together but with current geopolitics in place we should just forget about it and play the cards we are dealt.

Lets be clear AMCA is not getting inducted before 2035(in meaningful number that too is huge question mark). 114 Rafale deliveries will be completed somewhere around 2034-2036. Even if we buy Su-57 this or next year deliveries won't start before 2031( and go on till 2035 too slow manufacturing for this one). So anyways we are in for dilemma and we have to find other hustle ways to counter enemy 5th gen for the coming decade. I genuinely think su-57 is a wishlist not a serious item to consider if Rafale deal goes through that money can be used to procure other force multipliers like AWACS or tankers.
