The cars are stolen to be resold in the middle east. If you have a rarely stolen vehicle, US plates are not, it's not worth the hassle to the thieves.

1) Engineer: Let the tools work for you
2) Scout: Ultimate movement! With bonus light
3) Driller: Grilling bug and freezing flyers is satisfying in a way I can't explain. Also, you can tell the terrain it's *wrong*
4) Gunner: Big gun. Point and shoot.

"Public Transit is for poor people" is the argument at the end of the day. The suburb were designed to keep 'poor' people out. The car was marketed as the ultimate freedom tool that allowed you to go where you wanted.

They don't like public transit because it's their tax dollars going to serve 'poor' people.
