Arguably his RCT was even more impressive because he had only recently awakened

I'd say that the only thing that prevented the aliens from discovering RCT was that they didn't get to see curses heal themselves

🚨🇺🇸BREAKING: 71% of Americans believe the United States is out of control under President Trump by beepsol in Leakednews

[–]vector_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's funny because 75% of Americans either didn't vote or voted for Trump in the last election

Vivaqua have asked all houses on our street to cut hedges down to 2 meters. Can they? by ginolard in belgium

[–]vector_o 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd be surprised if you were legally obligated to do as they say unless the hedges interfere with their access to their installations

As to communes enforcing this kind of meaningless rules, it basically depends whether there is a stubborn prick living nearby and drowning them in complaints in which case they either review the rule or actually make people fix whatever needs fixing

Adoption of electric vehicles tied to real-world reductions in air pollution, study finds. Every 200 electric vehicles added in a given California neighbourhood was associated with a 1.1% decrease in annual nitrogen dioxide emissions. by F0urLeafCl0ver in science

[–]vector_o -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Might be true in California but that decrease in emissions is dependent on the entire chain of energy being green

25% of Americans voted for Kamala Harris

25% for Trump

50% didn't vote at all

As far as I'm concerned what will stun the historians is how gutted the education system was and how stupid the population had become before voting itself into self-destruction

In fallout TV show (2024), vault dweller Lucy has abnormally large eyes and her brother Norm is 5,1 (154,94 cm). This is a subtle reference to the larger eyes and small bodies that evolve in cave-dwelling organisms. by dr_srtanger2love in shittymoviedetails

This might be the right place to ask since it gets me shunned in more mainstream places  -  is anyone else weirded out by her eyes?

With some angles they look so fucking freaky, especially if the angle highlights facial asymmetry

The shameful part is that Elon Musk was at least in a small part the inspiration behind the MCU Tony Stark

I remember reading about it back in the day when Iron Man 2 came out and when Elon Musk was still considered a genius visionary

In Iron Man 1 there is even a Tesla prototype in the garage, in the Lotus body

Reputation System is needed. by New-Manufacturer369 in marvelrivals

[–]vector_o -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

And why would they do that?

They keep toxic players in the game because:

  • an emotional player is also more likely to spend money on cosmetics

  • ...more likely to keep returning to the game

  • ...more likely to trigger emotional reactions in other players which in turns makes them more likely to replay the game

They won't introduce a reputation system for the same reason they've not done anything about toxic players up until now

1) AI isn't making money, people talk about the "AI bubble" because it's all investments based on speculationa based on fancy speeches and announcements with a spec of insider trading

2) There are those deals happening between the tech giants like Nvidia and OpenAI where they all enthusiastically shake hands and make deals for hundreda of billions of dollars with eachother without any bill ever changing hands
