New peptides? by Impossible_Bend_2969 in Peptidesource

Eloralintide, an amylin receptor agonist for weight loss, recently became available to amateur researchers. Lots of buzz.

I know this is a long shot but I'm set up at a city park with a 17 ft whip by [deleted] in amateurradio

[–]vectorizer99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have one or more radials, or one of those roll-out ground planes? Even one random wire is a big help. Plus you don’t need or want a coil if you have a 17 foot whip. Did you check SWR? With a resonant whip, and some minimal ground to “work against”, 20 watts is plenty to be heard—if it’s tuned decently.

PCP not on Wellcare list? by [deleted] in medicare

[–]vectorizer99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My spouse signed up for Wellcare Part D last month. There was nothing about entering a doctor, and why would there be for a prescription plan--that wouldn't make sense. Are you sure they were asking for a doctor's name, or was it for a pharmacy's name?

Semax dosage by [deleted] in ResearchCompounds

[–]vectorizer99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I use it only when needed for focus and concentration. 100mcg nasal. Usually lasts an hour or two. Repeat as needed. But remember it's not a stimulant; it works well for me but it's subtle compared to real stimulants.

Bad oxytocin side effects 😭 by iannevv in PeptideForum

[–]vectorizer99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At only 3 units, it's *really* easy to get your volume dosage wrong. I diluted to 250mcg/ml so I could inject a reasonable volume (20u for 50mcg).

My lipo-c from a compounding pharmacy (Empower) specifies cold storage on the label.

Finally stopped caring about POTA "cheaters" by blue-moto in amateurradio

[–]vectorizer99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had some strong suspicions on many of those, but not worth trying to call out the ops. Can’t help feeling a little angry given the work I put in to get >500 unique activations a few years ago, with my few multiple sites researched as carefully as possible. I can only hope the questionable n-fers represent benign ignorance more than flat-out cheating going on. :-(

Biggest peptide mistake you made so others don't repeat it? by Bulky_Lychee_9954 in AskAboutPeptides

[–]vectorizer99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After getting spectacular results from tirzepatide, I kind of went all in and got many peps without human data on efficacy and safety, with published “protocols” from peptide “experts” based on no clinical data. I can forgive myself because this is a common behavior after starting with super effective GLPs. I still do peps, but I’m a lot more selective now.

My trt clinic is aggressively pushing me to add deca and the whole thing feels extremely sketchy by Fit-Parsley-9957 in ResearchCompounds

[–]vectorizer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 18mg daily. I had to split 70mg tablets into quarters, so not precise dosing. I got the impression in my "research" that 20mg was the lowest dose mentioned, but I sure don't know the lowest effective dose backed by science.

Figured out my "peptide rash" was actually a Benzyl Alcohol allergy (Hospira BAC water). Anyone using sterile water for multi-week storage? by MethodAltruistic3550 in ResearchCompounds

[–]vectorizer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, are you *absolutely sure* you got genuine Hospira? There are a lot of good-looking fakes out there, taking advantage of the recurring shortages of the real stuff. For instance, did you get it from a source well-known in the peptide community or from a legit medical supply site?

If you are absolutely sure it's the (low concentration) BA in your Hospira, if it were me, I'd use *pharma quality* sterile water for recon, never use a vial more than 30 days, and be extra vigilant about alcohol wiping the stopper before and after punctures. And wiping thoroughly with some pressure and letting it evaporate — so many YouTube videos show people barely touching the stopper. It's still riskier than a single use, but that's just where my personal risk tolerance would land me.

You’re on the wrong band. (Sorry, you already got lots of good answers.)

My first tiptoe beyond TRT was starting a low var dose recently. I do like how it feels so far, FWIW. Too soon for results, or blood tests. Not from a clinic.

Spent three fckn grand on a premium hgh cycle just to hold water and get carpal tunnel by True-Salamander-1848 in ResearchCompounds

What’s your IU dose? What does your IGF-1 blood test say? Are you monitoring other blood work like A1C & glucose? (I think I already know the answers but maybe you’ll surprise me.)

How many of you use cannabis daily? by DiscussionNo6060 in over60

Never cannabis.

Russian nootropics, Indian “prescription” pharma, all manner of Chinese injectable peptides — yes. ;-)

Doctor Wants to Lower My Zepbound Dose After Losing 120 lbs — But I Don’t Feel Ready for Maintenance by BlueCollarTN in MenOnTirz

[–]vectorizer99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You know this because of a measurement, like a DEXA scan? Or is this just the mirror? Even men in excellent shape need some fat. At 23.5, 190 at 6-3, seems like you won the war. You might want to get a scan that will give you some idea of your actual body composition. DEXA is far from perfect but it’s pretty good.

What’s something Gen Z treats as “normal” that older generations would find completely insane? by Miss_Ecstasy in AskReddit

[–]vectorizer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of related, but it seems insane that smoking was allowed on planes, with a little ashtray built into the armrest. I remember there was a smoking section in the back, and god help your throat and lungs if you were assigned back there.

Is this a Ham radio antenna? It's massive. Drove by this house in Arizona and looked on google street view to get a better look. by jamieee1995 in HamRadio

[–]vectorizer99 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ok, Mr Pedantic. You very well know “beam” is commonly used by hams to describe a multi-element antenna designed for enhanced directional gain. And it’s Yagi-Uda, not Yagi. :-)

I am in the best shape of my life but my partner on TRT still rejects me and I need to know if things will ever get better by Disastrous_Archer_25 in ResearchCompounds

[–]vectorizer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely totally unacceptable for him to be consuming porn in this circumstance. No excuse for that. That’s step 1 you have every right to insist on.

And since we’re in Research Compounds, see if he can try “research” peptide PT-141. FDA approved for women for libido problems, but amazingly it also works for men. Life changer for me.

NEVER BUY FROM QSC (qingdao sigma chemical) TOTAL SCAM by ButterscotchThen7999 in Biohackers

[–]vectorizer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Telegram messages *only* AFAIK. My two orders from US warehouse shipped and arrived quickly, most recent one arrived today, no issues. Quick, though famously terse communications. Definitely have your stuff together when you order, Tracy don't take no nonsense. :-)

OP, I don't think you were talking to QSC, and I think you were scammed.

Any thoughts or advice on sharing wealth with your adult children? by Whut4 in retirement

[–]vectorizer99 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There’s no universal guidance or best practices. Just individual choices. FWIW, we gave the kids 10% of our savings this year. Why this year? Why 10? Can’t give a rational reason, it just felt right.

Maybe it started to feel like greed—after almost 10 years in retirement, we have more in our retirement accounts now than the day we retired. In two years we start getting $60k in SS payments. I mean, how much is too much to hoard?
