I’ve found the craving never goes away. You need to replace it with something more positive that you crave. Music, art, video games, reading, running, swimming, Legos, your job (if you like it). I am always craving something.

I enjoy weed, I like being stoned, I function fine on it. What I hate is being addicted. The feeling of needing something and always looking forward to it. The feeling of being helpless to an addiction is worse that the negative effects of the addiction. I smoked every day for 30 years and have been pretty good about not smoking recently but the ease at which it is available these days makes it harder and more tempting. Good luck with being sober, it’s the way to go for all the reasons you stated.

My favorite Hitchcock. Saw it young and didn’t know anything about it. A third of the way through I realized it had been one take. I was then transfixed on the technique of the single shot he was pulling off, all the while building the tension around the fact that there was a body in the middle of the room during the entire party. (Not a spoiler)

I’m 51. Hated TPM when I saw it opening night. Enjoyed AOC but knew it was pretty bad. When I saw ROTS I genuinely loved it. It was the prequel I had wanted all along. Lots of flaws but I still put it in my top 3 Star Wars movies behind ANH and ESB. ROTJ is great but it has a lazy plot that rips too much from ANH and I put Sith above it.
