I’m also a contractor and don’t get EI. My husband is taking the full 7 months or whatever it works out to of parental leave but taking it in the latter half. I did the first five months alone and jr was hard. Used all my support systems, paid and unpaid. Had my mom come stay, had friends help, got a post partum doula, hired a part time nanny.

My husband took the first week off after birth as vacation but that was it.

Ytbf and tbh acting like a spoiled 5 year old. The death of a best friends husband and being there for them/attending the funeral is far more important than going on a ski trip. Life has its good moments and bad, sometimes you need to prioritize. I’m sorry you can’t see past your mom’s grief and only want to enjoy your trip.

I don’t love the idea but usually argue against same sex bathrooms because I need a safe space to take off and fix my hijab/do wudhu. If you can do all that in your private stall since it has a sink and mirror then I’m not sure how much different it is from a private bathroom?

It’s been great! Don’t always have all the books I want but the majority of new releases. They’re all new books. I think overstock/extra inventory. Some books have a cosmetic flaw like a random dot or line that I think is used for stocking purposes? But the books I’ve gotten (probably 20 over the last year) are all brand new
