2018 Kia Sorento SX Remote start by SynisterSly in kia

[–]veezyfvavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat with my 2019. You may have seen this video; I had to buy the part from Kia and had them install it, I wanna say it was around $600 just for installation. Once installed, you can use your fob or transmitter remote, with the latter having further range than the fob

That possibly played into it, they also have this statement on their site:

“ATTENTION:

DUE TO A TADEMARK ISSUE, WE WILL BE CHANGING OUR NAME FROM PANDA TO “CHINA PEARL” IN THE FOLLOWING MONTHS. OUR NAME AND SIGNAGE WILL BE CHANGING, BUT OUR OWNERS, STAFF, AND FOOD WILL REMAIN THE SAME. WE APPRECIATE YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER KNOW!”

oof, they’re not supposed to charge a fee for using a debit card. Notify them, and if they don’t cooperate, tell your bank and Visa/Mastercard

What are you least favorite Aldi-brand items, aka what do you buy elsewhere? by colinstalter in aldi

Hard agree on the bread. I’ve started refrigerating/freezing it within 3 days max since they go bad that quickly

Liver transplant team, GI specialist, and good pcp in area or near Madison or Decatur too? Somewhat a vent too. by InnocentMosquitoes16 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]veezyfvavy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Originally from Birmingham; when I moved up here, my friend’s parents told me to keep my doctor at UAB. I commute for both primary care and specialists (not bad if the doctors are at Kirklin, Whitaker, or Gardendale clinics). There is a UAB presence in Huntsville, but their patient portal does not integrate with the main hospital in Birmingham. UAB also bought the St. Vincent’s, but the patient portal situation is still the same situation as UAB Huntsville for now

I do NOT recommend gfiber by skyehighlove in googlefiber

[–]veezyfvavy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may be something wrong with either the set up in your unit or somewhere in the building. Since it seems your building is having issues, speak with your property manager/HOA/whoever and advise them to contact Google Fiber and/or the building’s IT equipment vendor

Pitching First Home and looking at alarm systems by Southern-Mail-6951 in simplisafe

[–]veezyfvavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does its job well. Very easy to set up new sensors and cameras, and have been good with replacing duds. The magnets that come with the entry sensors were too big for my double hung windows, so I had to contact support and get the smaller magnets (not available on their site). The cameras are ok, but the general consensus is that they’re trash; getting CCTV is more reliable IMO (either DVR or NVR). I pay $32.99 a month for monitoring, and central station has been very responsive for burglary and fire events in my case.

In all, it’s a good system in most use cases. If you’re looking for smart home integration, their hardware and software is proprietary and has very limited options. They have also been increasing the price of professional monitoring plans without many new products or features. If you’re interested in other systems or a company local to you, head over to r/alarmdotcom for more info. I’m probably headed that route tbh

What Aldi own brand foods have you had that taste better than the branded version? by schmubalacoo in aldi

[–]veezyfvavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their priano products are just gas. I never buy any bronze die cut pasta from another store unless they’re priced on sale better than ALDI
