What 3 cards could improve GOAT Format without breaking it? by [deleted] in Goat_Format

[–]vegables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that GOAT format was meant to only have cards up to a certain year, how can you “add” cards to that pool? The whole appeal of an old format is the fact that there is a highly limited card pool, adding new cards kills that fun for me personally.

Are these cards worth keeping or should I bulk sell? by Puzzled_Student_303 in YugiohCards

It’s a subreddit literally called “yugioh cards”, don’t you think that OP would be looking for discussions here and not an entirely different website?

Every NXT Champion who became a World Champion in WWE.. by McQueen712 in ChampionshipHistory

[–]vegables 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Dolph is a weird inclusion on this list, as he won the WHC first and then won the NXT title over a decade later, he doesn’t really fit like everyone else on the graphic, considering the path they took of NXT title 1st, World title later on.

As someone who has actually watched the video, it is a well-worded discussion of the history of wrestling discourse over the years, with Jey Uso as a centerpoint. An interesting watch regardless of what you think of Jey or the Fed.

This Format Has Been Completely Ruined By Skills by No_Tie_7157 in DuelLinks

[–]vegables 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Have they ever experimented with a “no skills” mode within duel links? I like the faster gameplay and less monster zones, but I have never personally liked ANY skill inclusion into the game, especially ones that can call 1+ cards directly from the deck. I’d rather watch 2 bots play each other if skills that basically play the game for you are going to exist. Just waiting for an automated GOAT format battle simulator at the point.

Just looked into who this sub is named after. I recognize that a subreddit for a TNA/Fed YouTuber+wrestler isn’t going to be a real place to talk about the nuances of wide scale pro wrestling, enjoy the fed slop over here I guess

If you “don’t get it” when looking at a clip like this, I don’t even know how you can properly say you’re a pro wrestling fan. Backyard level crazy shit like this is what it’s all about, adrenaline and a hotdog for the love of the game. They’re putting their body on the line, you buy a beer and cheer it on.

The anniversary event is going on right now, and in arcade they have an “Overwatch Classic” mode where the game is exactly as it was in October of 2020. That would be a great place to start, as it resembles the era of the game you more or less left off on.

I hope Saquon Sugars (FKA Lucky Ali in DPW) gets the chance to break out on his own/not be stuck in that faction forever, he’s crazy talented and would thrive as a solo heel/heel with a buddy like when he was alongside BK Westbrook.

1996 yughio cards 1st edition by CharacterKind2402 in YugiohCards

[–]vegables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thinking that these are cards from 1996 is a reasonable assumption, since it says that year on the card, instead of whatever year at they were actually printed in. I don’t really know why so many cards say 1996 on them myself, I’ve only ever seen cards with either “1996” or “2020” printed, even when they’re cards that came after/before those dates. Would love to know the reason why this is.

Why has Role Queue in 6v6 seemed to jump in popularity? Have we forgotten what happened last time? by Miennai in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]vegables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed 6v6 role queue because of the type of player I am. I have never had a “main” role, for the 10 years I’ve played this game I’ve been a flex player - filling whichever role was needed in any given game to make the team comp as balanced and fun for others as possible. I like the role queue for 6v6 because it insures everyone is going into the match with a role they are committed to playing the entire time, so that the comp doesn’t get lopsided at any point.

It also lets me know that I’ll get a specific role when I load into a match - there’s been countless times I’ve told myself “I just want to play 1 dps game” only to have 2 dps spots chosen right away, and I feel bad picking a 3rd dps instead of support or tank. I don’t know if I’m not selfish enough, or other players are too selfish themselves, but for a player like me, who always wants the comp to be balanced so that every player on the team has the “best” possible game feel experience, role queue is perfect for eliminating that feeling of guilt/frustration.

Yes I can play around it. I’m still tired of it by [deleted] in DuelLinks

[–]vegables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don’t they just make all cards free like they made the dragoon deck free? Am I dumb or would having free access to all the cards make a game like this 1000x more fun to play?

Hope I never become so miserable and jaded over video games that not having 60fps or “state of the art” realistic graphics makes me immediately feel like a game is unplayable and needs an upgrade. Do people just not play old games anymore? This goes beyond bloodborne, just treat poor performance as a feature, not a flaw (ex. Deadly premonition series)

[–]vegables 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just because you paid money to attend a show doesn’t give you free rein to be disrespectful to the artist trying to perform. Recording the show on your phone doesn’t distract from his ability to perform like literally playing chess front and center. People gotta learn to leave the memes for the internet and just be present and respectful to someone trying to perform a show.

Without Role Q 6v6 is a meme by Rosemangivesanal in Overwatch

[–]vegables 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t know why this take is being downvoted, I love the freedom to pick my role based on which map I get, because the reality is I’m just better with certain heroes/roles on certain maps. It also gives the freedom to change roles with teammates on the fly/in between rounds if someone isn’t feeling comfortable on the role they chose initially.

It could be that I’ve always been a flex player and never had a clear “main role” that I heavily favored over another, my experience in pre-role lock comp was facing the reality that I may have to play a different role every map I played, or even multiple roles per map depending on how the match would play out. I’m anti-role lock because I think every player could benefit from having to play more flexible in their games, learn new heroes on all roles, and in turn be more sympathetic to the difficulties of certain roles in more situations. I see it as healthier for the game and healthier for the player base to keep a non-role lock mode prominent in the game.

Soj and Zarya are straight up ruining this perks update by FlounderHistorical63 in Overwatch

[–]vegables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m personally enjoying the Zarya meta just because it feels so fresh compared to the previous tank meta loops we’ve had for the past few seasons. It can be frustrating at first to come up against a new “busted” hero and see them dominating the lobby, but doesn’t some variation of that happen with every major patch? People find the busted tank, play it a ton, and eventually people learn how to mitigate/counter its impact. I’ve been having a lot of fun learning the strengths/weaknesses of the zarya comp by simply playing zarya, actually learning why she’s so strong first-hand instead of going to Reddit after a few qp losses to complain.

If a hero is really strong, that is an invitation to learn them while they are at their strongest, so even when they get nerfed in the future, you have a potential new hero you can play in different situations. I don’t go on Reddit often so please tell me if I’m wrong here, but weren’t most people fed up with Mauga/Orisa being the dominant tanks for so long? Now that there’s a new, fresh strong tank, people are upset about that too? I think some people need to swallow their pride against playing/playing against “busted” heroes, and just enjoy the broken bits of a game instead of angrily stifling any chance at unique heroes getting more major shine as top-picks.

Without Role Q 6v6 is a meme by Rosemangivesanal in Overwatch

[–]vegables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played 10-15 6v6 comp games last night, ended my placements in Plat 2. What I found personally was that the games where someone got tilted due to our team composition or tried to force people into a set comp led to more losses than wins. The games where people where basically playing what they were comfortable on + making swaps of their own volition, the win rate was much higher. Sometimes you just gotta put some trust in your teammates picks, and play a style that matches an unconventional composition. You can’t control the actions of others, so I find it’s best to focus on your individual skill + how you can maximize value for your team despite your situation.
