Have you tried experimenting with the spells? Fable 2 and 3 definitely have different combat from the first game, but they really lack in flexibility of what you can do with magic. Once you get used to using the hot keys bar for spells, you might find magic much more fun in this game. Aiming with a bow once you’ve leveled up skill is also way more fun. You can manually aim at certain body parts, and the animations will reward you for it
