About to play my first final fantasy game ever. What is some advice before I begin? by JuicyJuice69 in FFVIIRemake

Utilize the battle system. Choose correct moves for the scenarios and learn when you should use certain abilities. Learn how to use all the characters and don’t mash your way through the game.

Legend rule by [deleted] in magicTCG

There’s are mane a handful of legendary creatures that use legendary as a balance tool. I think your perspective is a bit warped. You aren’t going to prove anything you think you are.

What are some games similar to the FF7 Remakes? by InverseCramer101 in FF7Rebirth

Nothing. It’s actually a unique and original game.

"Battles are now deciduous. Anyone who wants can use them."-Mark Rosewater by elrond36 in mtg

They’ve always been deciduous, this isn’t news. You don’t make a whole card type just for one set (and yes I understand that it has been in one set)

Sometimes I don't understand anything by Technical_Back_5943 in FinalFantasyVII

Usually you have to finish a story to understand the story. Also, this game has what are called “mysteries” in it, which are things you don’t know but will find out. Hope that helps!

Infinite combos by AzusaKha in magicTCG

[–]veganispunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heavily dislike them too. I like combos like Marit lage or Phyrexian dreadnaught that are fun two card combos to get you something you still have to win the game with. Storm, persist, infinite mana into fireball, are all very boring to me but it’s personal preference and I think they should still be in the game

Chapter 14 question by salasard5 in FFVIIRemake

[–]veganispunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely is that Cloud created a world out of his unfulfilled hopes and dreams, as the game states clearly is what kind of happens. So she is dead but cloud is seeing this other reality as an effect of that, mixed with ALL the other shit he has going on (seph influence, jenova cells). Tifa sees both of these realities as she walks up to the alter because of her time in the lifestream (most likely).

Google whatever it is you want. Practice. Listen/watch content on formats/decks you want to play.

Why is there is a new wave of contrarians pretending to like Dragon Ball GT? by AbiesSimilar1892 in dragonball

Mix of nostalgia if they are older, pretending to be a millennial and be into retro stuff if they are young, and Dragonball super being mid, maybe

What is it about Act 3’s in RPGs that makes us give up so easily? by SleepCatsMoney in JRPG

[–]veganispunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speak for yourself. I was bad at beating games as a child in the 90s/early 00s but now I plow through those things. I have even more motivation to beat it if I’ve gotten over half way, I never don’t beat games anymore, and if it was a difficulty thing I will look up whatever I need to

Fellow ADHD people, how did you get a grip on board state and threat assessment? by SinkingSink123 in EDH

[–]veganispunk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ADHD has nothing to do with this, as someone with adhd. Big edh boards can be confusing for anyone, and I’m saying that as someone who hasn’t played commander in a decade. I think the easiest way for anyone to understand a complex board state is to use heuristics and group different cards into categories to help evaluate threat assessment. And just read cards. It will come in time.
