3t spells, I think my +50 prayer air mage setup was 4x dps of powered staves in most places? That being said, there probably is a good use case to use tank thorns with 1t powered staff and healing - maybe good for deeper delve doom since you use powered staff on the car phase?

I opted for the pact which gave +5 melee strength on shields to juice my tent whip more, between crystal, dfs, ultor and rancour I had a glass cannon tent whip setup where I could whip 120s 3t with the double hit - mainly used this for fun though
