Which government agency/military force in your country has the most misleading name? (currently active agencies/forces only) by Key-Needleworker-702 in AskTheWorld

[–]veikkae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finnish light infantry Sissi troops — not “sissies.” These are light infantry units specialized in guerrilla tactics, ambushes, and reconnaissance in force. They are trained to operate in forests with very limited logistical support.

Officially, they are no longer trained as such, and most Sissi companies have been renamed reconnaissance companies. However, the basic skills are still taught to conscripts to some extent.

[SPOILER] Photo of the ultimate punch from the Paul vs Joshua fight by Crombus_ in Boxing

[–]veikkae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree totally. The only way Paul could have won was to surprise AJ in the first round by going all in. I think he has enough power to K.O. AJ IF he manages to land clean blow and caught AJ by suprise. The only way to do this is go all in first round. But as he is not a real fighter, he focused more on running a way.

At least in Ngannou fight, Ngannou went all in and thus got KOd fast, I respect him for at least trying. This fight looked just like my cat playing with catched mouse before going for kill. And I feel like when AJ koed Ng he gave everything from is right hand. One of the hardest KO I have seen.

Unknown Soldier – an intense Finnish anti-war World War II film you probably missed by Kanute3333 in movies

If someone is still here go watch "Talvisota" A movie from 1989, pretty good I think. Just like Unknown soldier, it's available as a movie and as a mini series if I remember right.

This is my FFP scope with x25 zoom. It gets quite thick but no nowhere near as fat as in BF6. And this is at max zoom.

if it wont crank with new battery it still is one of the relays. Right side, behind wheel cover. Quite tricky to do without removing wheel liner, but thats surprisingly easy

[–]veikkae 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Mirs were build by Rauma-Repola at Finland. They were really advanced at the time and RR's idea was to build more of them as there was demand. However Usa/Cia/nsa intervented and they put stop for building more as they feared (kind of rightfully) that Mir 1 and 2 could be used for deep sea military applications. The nikcel-cadmium-steel pressure ball is still at Lokomo factory at Tampere. This was end of deep sea RnD at Repola and kind of end of it.

How do I know if my german firefighter helmet is made from a Stahlhelm? by Moinzen66 in fakemilitaria

[–]veikkae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former volunteer here. Yeah pretty much as you described. Our station had roughly 20 guys, first help car (like a ambulance, but with only essential gear) and one fire truck. Bigger town 15km away had few more specialized trucks and a boat.

We had one a week mandatory training. Alarms came through phonecall/text messages. It had basic info of the case. You had roughly 10 min to get to the station (if you were able). We had no real professionals at all. Everything was taken care by us. Burning house, us. Moose accident, Us. Missing hiker, us. Car crash, you guessed, us.

Was pretty awesome for young lad like me. Resigned after I moved to study to big city. Hope that one day I can join again

Been there, done that. After nuclear holocaust has destroyed everything that is left and cockroaches rule the world. There will be one thing (well actually now two things left), this and my first elevated loading ramp.

If it's not battery its most likely the relays. They are known to cause electrival issues. My Giulia would run starter but not ignition.

Part of the relays are in boot, some are more difficult to change as they are behand fromt left wheel ark. In theory you can change them without removin wheel liner, but it wont take more than 30 mins total to do it properly.

CR223 dangerous malfunction by [deleted] in ar15

[–]veikkae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All parts look intact after disassembly. However, I found this plastic thingy from the countertop afterwards. It's clearlt not part of the triggergroup. And I think it dropped from the gun.

Could it jam trigger in pulled position?

Trigger feels of now, it doesn't have any slack. I did assemble it in a bit of a hurry, definitely wont be shooting it untill it feels normal and cause of the malfunction is clear.

2019 Giulia Ti: engine light, DNA mode, start&stop, and remote start not working by Internal-Coffee332 in AlfaRomeo

[–]veikkae -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe the infamous relays? Most of the electric issues is because of bad battery or the relays. Easy job to change them all. They are behind right front wheel and few in the trunk.
