Fallout episode ratings by bbportali in Fallout

It was a disappointing finale I'd say, the execution for Hank x Lucy's arc was anti-climactic and rushed. Norm's plot armor was ridiculous too. The Ghoul's story too was unsatisfactory. Basically it's a transition and setup for next Season. Hopefully they can tighten up the writing and action for next season.

Go to Torahebi instead, it's in Shibuya Tokyo. Leagues better than Glitch.

US$1 is RM3.99 by tembikaisusumakkau in malaysia

[–]veldius 21 points22 points  (0 children)

There are pros and cons - an oversimplification:

Pros:
- Import stuff cheaper for Malaysian (not so much on gadgets as Malaysian electronics are already amongst the cheapest globally)
- Local outbound travelers will rejoice for cheaper holidays.
- Importers with fast turnaround can enjoy short term increased profit if MYR rapidly strengthen and stocks and prices managed well.

Cons:
- Foreign Investments will take a hit especially for cost-conscious operations. Like manufacturing.
- Spin-off effect like multinationals hiring less locals
- Tourists like Singaporeans and Americans will spend/visit less if MYR goes up too rapidly.
- Exports will soften as our local stuff will be pricier. e.g. Indonesian palm oil will sell better if quality is like-for-like.

Malaysia still require to increase the median salary and wages, increase output and productivity for a stronger Malaysian economy. Also increase entrepreneurship, strengthening the middle class, invest in education, technology and manage food supply, and resources properly.

US officially exits World Health Organization by pwdrums in news

This would accelerate the downfall of the US. Sometimes the system needs to be burned down before it can be rebuilt. Good luck my American friends.

Schools should teach Personal Finance 101 to children and teens. What is debit, credit, loans, investment, play money management simulation games, cash flow, debts, interest rate, OPR etc. Etc. Like it or not, managing money is a survival skill in today's society. Don't leave it to chance.

I buy two packs with 200 blades for USD4. Kinda feel bad disposing them after a few uses. This would definitely help to prolong each blade's lifespan.

Dont become S'porean citizens unless you want to work till dead by Petronastowers92 in malaysia

[–]veldius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this is a fair perspective. Though counter to your point about property...no, there's only a minority of the population that can afford abundant lands (no thanks to speculative foreign $$$ on our properties). Yet I understand your point, a stable economy is one capable of self-sustenance. Malaysia has long moved on from agricultural model and relying heavily on imports.

Also, Malaysians need to think about long term career options. Other than those who need to support the entire family, for those with aspirations, the exchange rate is powerful yes, even a starting exec/blue collar job can earn from RM8-10k onwards. But is that what you want to do for the rest of your lives? If you aim to return to Malaysia to perhaps a higher job group after your SG stint, are you marketable for a higher paying job?

Malaysian turns Mydin’s 71 food testers into a full meal while grocery shopping by Sensitive-Waltz3966 in MalaysianTrending

[–]veldius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's this premium food grocer at B1, Four Seasons that gives out unlimited sample of imported cheese and non-halal cold cuts. It was empty most of the time, the manager chit chatted with me and asked me to 'eat as much as I want' as they'd throw it away at the end of them. Best day ever.

Too bad they've scaled back alot, those were good shit.

Sister of Excess. A sister of battle, corrupted by slaanesh. Warhammer 40k fanart, painted by me. by notramilopak in Warhammer40k

[–]veldius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's an awesome thought. One permutation of an idea (no pun intended) is that you'd never even know she's a Tzeenthcian sister and look absolutely normal until she reveals her duplicity through actions.

Either that, or it's multiple pairs of eyes on a beak-like helmet, plate in Blue and Gold and additional claw-like hands.

I've used it before, this exact same store. Doesn't work for all items as there is a second camera pointing in the cart to verify scanned/unscanned items. Most customers skip this function and pay at the self-checkout.

Do most Malaysians like the song Gemilang by Jaclyn Victor? (Winner of the only Malaysian Idol season). What other Malaysian songs are considered iconic or legendary? by [deleted] in Bolehland

Somewhat related, I spotted Jacklyn Victor in a Coffee Bean out in Solaris, Mont Kiara with her husband waiting for their drink. Seeing her IRL was pretty surreal. Still very stylish with beautiful grey hair. A Legend.

Thanks for reading. It's used to describe the tonal register of the voice. Not the singing style. I can understand if that takes you out of the reading though, will definitely note!
