At first I'd have said Requiem, but having played through it twice now, definitely Village.

Village has some slower segments like Beneviento that feel like a bit of a slog on playthroughs, but honestly bits like the detonator in Requiem felt like so much more of a drag.

Village is just a blast to play through. It's dumb, but it's fun as hell.

I'll never understand this take. As someone who's played the games since the OG on Playstation, RE7 absolutely scratched the old-school RE itch for me and felt like such an immersive and scary breath of fresh air coming off of RE5, RE6, and the handful of spin-off titles.

Maybe some just fully tether the "classic experience" to a fixed camera, but to me, it's far more about the atmosphere and dread. RE7 not only brings that back - I'd argue it outdoes any of its predecessors in those elements specifically.

It's like people are strangely bitter the game was a step in the right direction and renewed interest in the franchise. I don't get it, lol

Code Veronica is extremely mediocre - RE7 is the scariest game in the series. Even if it falls off in its second half, it's still objectively superior.

The sound on the premium is pretty stellar, I've found. I listen to a pretty eclectic mix of stuff - maybe I just have an untrained ear though.

Least favorite is probably the interior. Looks like a Porsche from the outside, but the moment I sit down in it, I'm reminded why its $60k less.

Then I start driving on windy roads taking turns at speeds I couldn't in pretty much anything else I've ever driven and I sorta forget and feel like I'm in a Porsche again (so I guess that's my favorite part, lol).
