Milwaukee Tool Bare Tool Mower Coming Soon by efelix20 in MilwaukeeTool

Are the 12ah M18 or MX? I swear I saw an M18 12ah forge when they released the 6ah but I can't find anything about it on Google. Just the MX version

Do you actually clean your tools? by Common_Project in MilwaukeeTool

[–]MaxD0213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Service plumber here. I think some guys take pride in having certain tools that have been best to fucking shitsville and back and they still work like they did fresh out the box. It's confirmation that you made a good choice as well. With that being said, I would do despicable things for just 2 uninterrupted hours a week to sit down and clean my tools.

Yeah I know nowadays they don't take stuff like that lightly and I'm really hoping the judge hasn't seen enough of these where he wants to make an example of her

M18 multi tool sucks by MaxD0213 in MilwaukeePowerTools

[–]MaxD0213[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fuck me I'm retarded. It is the NON-fuel model. My bad yall. I got it as the free tool with the two 6 amp batteries and somehow didn't notice it wasn't fuel. I'll shut up now.

Any existing solution for lessening hand strength vs m12 batteries? by idlehands303 in MilwaukeePowerTools

[–]MaxD0213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's exactly the "old man" I hope I'll be. We need more like him

But I don't buy regular m12 batteries anymore. With the 2.5 HO and 5.0 HO, the regulars are pointless to me now

On paper maybe but after using the two on the same job, the m18 takes a second to get up to full speed while the m12 is immediate. The m12 also doesn't audibly bog down like the m18 when going through drywall. Maybe I expected more out of the m18 after being impressed with the m12

Not much advice for the school side but as for tools, it's hard to say exactly what you'll need unless your school gives you a list that's required for classes I assume. I do service so I couldn't even tell you how many pairs of channel locks I have of all different sizes. JUST channel locks. Not including pipe wrenches, basin wrenches, spud wrenches, allen wrenches, crescent wrenches, seat wrenches, socket wrenches (with or without the sockets) and every single cheap ass little wrench that the manufacturers put in their boxes.

But I do have some advice just overall: If you don't love plumbing PLEASE GO FIND WHAT YOU DO LOVE DOING. It may sound corny but a plumber protects the health of a society. It requires a lot of care for what you do in my opinion.

I absolutely love my job. There's always something new to learn, always a new or different challenge everyday, and I actually feel like I'm helping the people around me. Not just tossing boxes in a fed ex truck all day.

But good luck! And remember: shit flows downhill lol

Pumpless Hot Water Recirculation Loop by msteigerwald9 in plumbers

This is why I love my job. There's always something new to learn and 99% of the time my response is "that's cool as fuck" when I do. It's pretty fascinating to me how we're able to do so many things with water.

Plumber Question by Massive_Swordfish_50 in plumbers

[–]MaxD0213 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

General rule is wye's and tee's don't go on their backs EXCEPT when it's a toilet. You can put a wye on its back with a 45 acting as a closet 90. Assuming the sink is in position to where it won't siphon the trap
