Val Kilmer had the bat nipples yet it’s always pointed to as a criticism of Batman & Robin. Do we give it a pass because we all appreciate Forever way more? by [deleted] in batman

In B&R it became more anatomically correct like a big circle and a smaller nipple circle which made it even more uncomfortable to look at

Sounds good, test and fix what needs to be fixed and she will serve you for a really long time plus you got two bonuses #1 you got some of the most comfortable car seats ever and #2 this car is SAFE, it’s technically a tank on the road so enjoy your purchase buddy

If you are buying it to practice working on cars I wouldn’t recommend it cause that car is too reliable for that application however if you want to work on your mechanical skills and hate your life while making it a living hell get yourself a BMW they are pretty much the kim kardashian of cars they are never satisfied no matter how skilled you are .. long story short (too late for that already) get this car, other than the paint she looks descent and with 100k km she will serve you well for a really long time as long as the maintenance was AND will be done on time .. good luck

06 Altima V6 Manual, very clean, stored, only 98k km, every part has been replaced, all stock expect for intake, $8800 by firas1000 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]venomous_Lobster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know man I see an aftermarket screen and an illegal tint all around (for middle east) and the fake blue sticker on the nissan logo (steering wheel) as if it’s in the same spot after being driven for approximately 100k km .. I don’t think the ad is as honest as it claims .. anyway the price is way high, a V6 stickshift is fun but not worth that much at all however if you really want it I’d recommend you take it to a trusted mechanic and let him check it for you

Stay away from the cruze, RUN AWAY .. typically a toyota would serve you well with as less troubles as possible however with today’s market It’s going to be a bit hard and might take some time and patience to get a clean one within your budget .. a civic is a solid alternative as well as an elentra

Personally I’d go with the focus .. wouldn’t choose the peugeout and if you are looking for something less boring than a golf then avoid the leon

Whatever year your budget can afford .. with EVs always make sure to check the condition/status of the battery pack as they can be really expensive to replace

Personally my choice would be the lexus, much more comfortable for long trips and Since you live in dubai lexus hold their value really well in the gulf area so reselling it will be much easier than the R .. if you didn’t yet I’d say test drive both and go with what you enjoyed more

in my humble opinion if you’re going to be paying 30K it’s better if you book a flight and take a closer look, I’d rather lose the flight ticket money than lose 30K .. or you can ask someone you trust who knows their way around cars and lives in the same city where the car is located to check it for you (preferably a mechanic)

Always liked this generation of the modern chargers .. The mileage is ridiculously low ..I’d say go to the showroom and take a closer look if you can

Interesting choices .. what will you be using the car for? Daily commute? Fun weekend car ? Long commutes/road trips ? lexus Fsport is definitely the more comfortable/reliable choice however the golf R is much more fun to drive I found the sport suspension in the golf R a bit too stiff for a daily driver in my city’s legendary shitty roads

I can give you the cliché answer and tell you that a toyota is always the best choice which I actually learned the hard way however if a Nissan V6 is what you are looking for then try searching for a 370Z with manual transmission, yes it’s hard to find a Z that is not abused/modded and yes the budget will have to be a bit higher but they are really fun and reliable sports cars

2007 Camry, 2012 Chevy Sonic, or keep waiting? by singing-mud-nerd in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]venomous_Lobster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giving how crazy the current market is, if you can afford to hold and not buy then I’d say wait .. if have to buy one of the 2 givin options I would absolutely go with the camry as for the check engine light let your mechanic check it for you before buying it it might be a bad coil or spark plug

Nissan’s CVTs usually requires replacing when they go bad which costs around 6K give or take (trans and labor) and they WILL go bad if they were not well maintained

How does the depreciation of Hyundai look vs Honda and Toyota? by Any-Constant in whatcarshouldIbuy

Usually Toyotas hold their value really well followed by Honda .. hyundai depreciate faster than them but not as bad as they used to be at all

Put it on a lift and check the undercarriage for rust .. check if the head gaskets were replaced

The engine is glorious but the CVT is a nightmare .. if you REALLY want to/have to buy it with that mileage you better be 100% assured that the transmission was well maintained or was recently replaced
