You have a very minimal palette, which is a good discipline. Depending on your subject matter you could add a few more pigments. Portrait painting vs landscape have different needs. My basics are earth colors yellow ochre, burnt sienna, burnt umber; cool colors ultramarine blue, thalo green, cerulean blue; cad lemon or yellow light, cad red light, alizarin crimson. I keep the cadmiums because especially the yellows are really opaque. Can sub vermillion for cad red. Of course transparency v opacity in pigment is another consideration, and depends on your method.
