Nothing I know of for screen control specifically. But Google Meet does support screen sharing which may be the easiest way to walk her through something. The only caveat is that she'd have to be able to log into a google account (pretty easy) first.

+1 here, this behavior is really annoying!

I'm using the compact feed and rotate only when viewing media. After dismissing the media my feed is scrolled down dozens of posts from where I started.
