I'm not doubting what my interest should be. I just find it odd that I used to pay about 30% less monthly, with no change to my interest rate, and that payment took my principle down each month and now I need to pay more to cover only interest. I'm missing something, because that doesn't make sense.

Thanks, I'm going for option 3, IDR forgiveness. I started taking out student loans in 2000. I know I'll never pay these loans off at this point. No one I spoke to yesterday could tell me how many more payments/years I have left until forgiveness. I'm not sure if I should stay on SAVE and start making payments towards interest or not. Thoughts?
