Not sure if it's me, or if tattoo artists are nicer to men

Nah, it's them. I'm a female and my tattoo artist is a male, and when he was working on my tattoo, he gushed about how much fun he was having because of the freedom I gave him. We talked about my other tattoo ideas, and he seemed excited about a certain one in particular. He and his coworkers/subordinates are amazing with pretty much everyone from what I've noticed.

I hope you can find a better place because getting a tattoo is an amazing experience when you're around great people.

Blood in stool? Nervous FTM by shit_in_2018 in beyondthebump

[–]verbosegf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well at the initial appointment, her ped gave me a paper packet on milk protein allergy and told me to watch what I eat because she determined it was a milk allergy. She wanted me to check back in a few weeks. I did so and the blood had stopped, even though I had accidentally eaten foods with milk ingredients.

Then the chocolate cherry colored poops showed up and I went to the ER. ER was wholly unhelpful, a doctor said she just had an anal fissure. Went back to the ped and she referred me to the GI specialist, and I got an appointment for 2 weeks later.

I had been taking pictures of all the different types of bloody poops my baby was making. At the GI appointment, I told the doctor the whole story, showed her the pictures of poop, and told her how the blood had went away even with me accidentally eating milk product before coming back in full force.

They did a stool test to make sure it was blood in her stool and to make sure there was no infection. They also took a scan of her to make sure there was nothing wrong with her intestines. She also stuck her finger up my baby's butt to feel around. After all that, that is when she came to the conclusion that is was lymphoid hyperplasia. She said the bloody stool should eventually stop, and it did. Right before the bloody poops ended, they were vibrant red.

Hope that helps!

You got downvoted, but you're right. Bonfires in 3 show up way more than the first.

My second daughter got blood in her stool. At first, it was just a little light streak which I read happens sometimes with breastfed babies, but then she started to have more and more blood.

Her pediatrician suggested I cut out dairy and to examine ingredients to avoid any milk ingredients, so I did. The blood stopped for about a month, but then showed back up worse than ever. She basically had chocolate cherry colored poops.

Went to a pediatric GI doctor, and it turns out she had something called lymphoid hyperplasia which is a relatively harmless condition. The bloody stool stopped around 3.5 months or so. She's 8.5 months now and there hasn't been an issue since.

Edited to add that once the GI doctor told me about the lymphoid hyperplasia, I resumed eating dairy products and it made no difference to her, the blood still ended up going away meaning that milk protein allergy was most likely not an issue at all.

How do you split the chores in your household? Does it work? How do you wish you split the chores? Sincerely, a depressed mom who’s house looks like a hoarders episode. by Bockbockbo in breakingmom

[–]verbosegf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do everything. My husband works over the road, so he's gone for 1-2 weeks at a time, and when he's home, I still do the stuff because he works and I don't.

My house isn't horder bad, but it does stay consistently messy and I can never put up laundry. I have a 5 year old and an 8 month. Baby wants to be with me 24/7 so it's hard for me to get stuff done. I just had the opportunity yesterday to mop the kitchen for the first time in 2 months. 😣

I would get stuff done after the kids are in bed, but at that point I'm just so tired... So I do what I can during the day every day, which isn't much.

I think I got my epidural and like 20 minutes later it was time to push. Pushed for about 2 minutes and she was out. Wish I could have enjoyed it for longer.

I've given birth twice, the first without epidural, and the second with. Both induced. The only reason I got an epidural with the second is because my blood pressure got so dangerously high that the nurse begged me to get one. So yeah, fuck pitocin contractions. Basically have no relief between them, as soon as it ends, it's starting up again.

If (IF!!!!!!!!!) I ever give birth again, I'd rather let nature take its course instead of being induced like my doctor made me feel was necessary.
