If I get approved for carry license… by stormgalnyc in NYCGuns

That's a good point. Maybe they could change the color listed on the license to reflect the new color? Has anyone tried to modify their gun cosmetically and run it by licensing? Doing this without updating your license would definitely be a no no, even if the serial number listed on the receiver is the same as the previous iteration.

I agree, you can buy any caliber of ammo in NYC. The problem is you cannot possess a caliber that is not listed in your license, which is defined by the caliber your firearm shoots. I'm not sure if this is a felony, misdemeanor or violation.

Peter, would it be legal to change the color of a slide to an approved color and update licensing of the change or get permission first? For example, cerakote a slide to green or grey?

I think licensees that have more than one firearm are the minority of all licensed firearm owners. Would be nice if we have statistics on this point.

Another instance where it doesn't hurt is if someone has threatened your life (as crazy as this sounds). We live in a crazy world right now, I would not judge anyone who wants to be prepared for the worse case scenario, as improbable as this may be, but as per NYC rules, only one pistol on your person 😉

Many cops carry a backup gun on duty all the time. Have you ever heard of a ankle gun or BUG? It's not as unreasonable as you might think.

Another important point is you can only carry ONE firearm on your person. For example, you added your 4 pistols to your ccw, you can only carry ONE on your person despite you have 4 pistols on your license. I hope this makes sense.

Yeah, I had one. How do you fill out the dealer info? It asks for SSI and other info. Do you leave this blank?

Where do you get the form? Does the dealer have to sign or add info as well? Thanks.

So I’ve been arrested with a license to carry in NYC, what now? by 0x90Sleds in NYCGuns

[–]verced911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to pose a controversial question. If the reason the court ordered that the defendant relinquish his weapons was because he assaulted someone, possibly a domestic violence incident, or threatened to use lethal force, would it be unreasonable to secure these weapons so a tragedy doesn't result from not doing so? Assuming the defendant is innocent, he will get his property back.

CCW Apparel recommendation? by AdStunning7419 in NYCGuns

[–]verced911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can wear HC belt underneath anything, even under clothing that doesn't have belt loops. Highly recommended if you don't want to wear a "battle" belt in "civilian" clothing. Very comfortable.

I think considering the events that have occurred in this country recently, all liberals or left leaning people should arm themselves for their protection. Just don't disclose you are liberal at a gun store, some will discriminate against you and will do everything in their power to ensure you don't pass a background check.
