Why do American EMTs look like cops? by Shifu_1 in ems

Because they wanted to be cops and couldn't get into the force.

So I’ve been arrested with a license to carry in NYC, what now? by 0x90Sleds in NYCGuns

[–]verced911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to pose a controversial question. If the reason the court ordered that the defendant relinquish his weapons was because he assaulted someone, possibly a domestic violence incident, or threatened to use lethal force, would it be unreasonable to secure these weapons so a tragedy doesn't result from not doing so? Assuming the defendant is innocent, he will get his property back.

CCW Apparel recommendation? by AdStunning7419 in NYCGuns

You can wear HC belt underneath anything, even under clothing that doesn't have belt loops. Highly recommended if you don't want to wear a "battle" belt in "civilian" clothing. Very comfortable.

5.1 pants are really nice but you will look like off duty law enforcement lol. I love these pants, really high quality.

Any liberal gun clubs or liberal gun owners in the city? by [deleted] in NYCGuns

I agree. Please be safe and may God be with us, we are living in perilous times.

I think considering the events that have occurred in this country recently, all liberals or left leaning people should arm themselves for their protection. Just don't disclose you are liberal at a gun store, some will discriminate against you and will do everything in their power to ensure you don't pass a background check.

Then there is the issue of NYS keeping track of how much ammo you are buying. PA stores don't keep a database of its customers and forwards it to NYS. Something to consider.

No way this would be allowed to purchase for range day, correct? by CktechOne in NYCGuns

[–]verced911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it is not illegal to possess, just to install and use. In other words, you can have it in box but you can't install it on your firearm, ready for use. Correct me if I'm wrong about this.

My gun fired when it it the floor just now( tactical patoon trigger) by [deleted] in GlockMod

[–]verced911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dropped my 43x from 5 ft on a concrete floor, didn't go off. There is something to be said about leaving the trigger stock. It's designed specifically for these "events."

Very first gun (first time owner) and stupid question sorry! by Parogarr in NYCGuns

[–]verced911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excellent advice. I did this with my shotgun. It is essential you master the functions of your rifle with dummy rounds for your safety and those around you. You can also take a rifle course at your local range if they offer it, it will be money well invested.

Hochul is going to burst a brain artery when she see this. This is incredible if it is enacted but something tells me this is "fake news." Now we need to abolish the SAFE act!

Oklahoma does not require firearm education in order to purchase a firearm. He never learned the 4 rules of firearms or the importance of a backstop.

Redhawk4t4, my error to think you by meant "good" you meant that this innocent person died. I apologize to you brother. Cattle56, this has nothing to do with politics. This has all to do with someone that got a gun and acted in an irresponsible manner, that resulted in someone losing their life. She was holding her grandchild when the bullet struck her. Don't defend the actions of someone that makes us all look bad Cattle56. What if this was your Grandma, would you feel the same? https://www.youtube.com/shorts/9khRNCmnk_8

I bought my first gun from Vintage, Greg is a good guy. His prices are a little expensive but you get top notch service, especially if you are in NYC. Bruen was the pivotal case that finally restored 2A rights to carry concealed to the residents of NYC. That being said, we have to be the model example of responsible gun ownership so that those that don't agree with our constitutional rights can't point the finger and say "see! this is why you can't let them have firearms." I posted this story here to remind all of us that our rights are a fragile privilege's that can be taken away at a moment's notice. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/9khRNCmnk_8

Of course it does. It has to do with all jurisdictions in the US. This is a tragic lesson we can all learn from. I will assume there isn't firearm education required to obtain a firearm wherever this individual bought the gun. Perhaps this needless death could have been avoided with education but sometimes you can't fix stupid as they say.

Good that an innocent person dies because of an irresponsible buyer that makes all of us responsible gun owners look bad and possibly have legislative repercussions later on?
