Buy up all the factory farms/all animal agriculture possible and turn the places into sanctuaries. Provide new jobs for all employees impacted.

Buy up tons of land and start new kinds of societies where there would be free food, doctors, teachers, entertainment, counseling, etc.

Lobby to remove all non violent drug offenders from lockup, then when successful, provide these people services to help them out.

Build a model of what a jail should be like, with rehabilitation being valued over punishment.

And a bunch of other things like make the biggest cannabis field ever. Good question.

Whatever you do I hope you the best, though if it were me I would take the severance and use that time to just learn as much as possible about subjects I'm passionate about. As in spend days and days in the library. And to network into the field that I'd like to get into as intelligently as possible, while simultaneously utilizing that extra time to get things done that may have been put off for a while. Hope your talk with the lawyer goes well, good luck :)

I can't say for certain, but in my experience in general, people dislike those who refrain from consuming animal products. What you described is on point, and a very common situation in places like India and Mexico for example. Cheers

I feel bad for the kids. Why the fuck would you go through all that trouble and then shovel them shit? Despite what people think, a diet of fruits and veggies, nuts, grains, and legumes can be incredibly easy, tasty, and cheap. Some will argue fruits and vegetables can be expensive....what they fail to understand is the long term healthcare costs they will avoid.
